ok, NYC-ers, the weather is a bit s–tty today, so imagine today’s lil precipitation times 1000, and all the damage recent storms did to the Philippines. My girl Marisa Pizarro (Sony legal eagle and JGrand’s lovely wifey) and pals are throwing a benefit party at Stay on Houston tonite to raise money for flood victims (100% goes to charity!), so any folks who are out getting their drink on, please stop by. Its an early-ish afterwork affair. Afterwards, the homie Illmind and DJ Reason have a party at Forbidden City too.

I’ve found no real information on Project Heal Manila. I just hope the money’s going where they say it’s going.

yeah I’m 100% positive its on the up and up, because my girl Marisa is the organizer and she’s very good peoples. First of, she doesnt need the money herself, and she’s doing this purely out of concern for the people in her family’s homeland. I totally vouch for her otherwise I wouldnt have posted it.

Wealthy American and european men exploit women and children in this country. Many are in high level positions at fortune 500 companies. I wish in addtion to these charitable community based programs, there would be more invesentment in true information networks. In other words high quality investigative journalism released on appropriate outlets to the masses for free.

Project Heal Manila is a fundraising organization that is raising money to go to the different associations in the Philippines that need all the help they can get.
