Michelle Obama’s Jason Wu dress was perfection. Beyonce did Etta James proud. And our new President is so classy, he didnt glace even once at B.’s almost-n.s.f.w. t.h.o.
This was the best moment of the “Neighborhood Ball.” The worst? Toss-up between Nick Cannon’s “inaugga-ration” shout-outs, and Shakira’s inappropriate lambada act. Hov also performed “History” live for the first time ever. I think it went over the mainstream audience’s heads, but, as hip hop fans, we appreciated the significance.

hmm….did you watch the show at all? Especially during the part when Beyonce was next to Alicia Keys and they were singing a medley? Something was very prominent…and satin was helping.

This was such a beautiful event…I feel like we all won the lottery LOL!I’m still shocked and amazed that is black AND our President has crazy swag.
On a sour note though…I dont think I ever wanna hear ‘at last’ again…

i was thinkin the same thing! y is chic tossing her hips and flinging her hair as though she is singing “hips dont lie” at the VMA’s? and ugggh! of all dj’s in the world, Nick Cannon? “biggups to my wife for singing the song” (wheres the brown bag).the dj on ellen’s show would have been 10x more classy!
aside from that, the day was emotionally graining in a great way!!!

This was done really well. It was a emotional, monumental, historical day. I remember watching all those white people walking out to take their seats and then the Obama family, that will always stand out to me in more ways than one. Here’s to change and that he makes the right decisions in office, which may not always be the popular ones. AT LAST!

i think B should have worn something more elegant and less distracting. The focus should just be on President Obama and his family. If I was there and talking to her, I don’t think I could help but look at her chest cause them thangs were pokin’ out. shouldnt put the President in such a position but he handled it with class.

I’ll have to watch this later on I missed this part, but as many times as they played “At Last” at every single damn ball, I swear I thought the real Etta James was going to come out. I’m surprised they didn’t ask her to duet with it, that would have been nice.
