UPDATE: Hosea Thomas has been found guilty on 11 charges, including the murder of Philant Johnson, he faces 70 years in prison. His brother Padron, who testified against him, and reportedly instigated the altercation, got his charges reduced to manslaughter.

Before all yall start talking that BS about he is doing the right thing for his bestfriends family and is not really snitching…..
This happened to years ago and up until recently it was a cold case. THE ONLY TI IS UP HERE ASSISTING WITH HIS TESTIMONY TO GET THE KILLERS INDICTED AND DOING HIS “CRIME STOPPERS” COMMERCIALS… IS BECAUSE HE GOT CAUGHT WITH ARMY GUNS AND SILENCERS… AND HE A 2X FELON
I got cousins doing a 3 yr bid for getting caught with one heater… its strait bs. Maybe he aint snitch for the camera but he defenatly cooperated with the feds and gave up some info or else he would be UNDER the jail
TI is a great rapper and his music i have always supported, but he made millions off his trap king shit and now he working with the feds. shit is really disgusting everyone giving him a pass because he is popular.
See if the same thing happened to 50, and yayo got shot in that truck. and 2 yrs later 50 get caught with guns yall would be saying he snitched

The problem is you are comparing your cousin to a person that is a celebrity and has a major influence over his generation and has crazy loot. Oh, the lawyer squad he has being paid by him and his record company helps a lot too.
If your in the pen and want to have your sentenced reduced you volunteer to be part of the scared straight program so kids dont follow your same path. Being part of that program a regular person can touch a few youngins to turn their life around, but TI can do thousands, and the judge took that into consideration (including they pulled out the crazy card saying TI has post traumatic stress syndrome because of his friends murder).
So, the state is using him as a tool. But, did at anytime does he say in the “crime stoppers” commercial did he say snitch on any specific crime. NO. Its up to that individual who wants to pick up that phone to decide what they want to do. Come on. (this is old) If your best friend that really cares for you tell you to jump off the cliff would you do it?
He is suspect, but I won’t believe he is a snitch unless they produce a PUBLIC record of it. Even if its sealed, they are ways to unseal it like Scareface did to LIl Troy (check out video High Powered).
I liked this vid. TI gave the defendant a couple of sharp glances. Personally, I think those dudes are going to be offed while Tip is in jail, but who knows. I also liked that while TI was describing his friend it was with a smile like Phil was still alive or he was just reminiscing about Phil in his own mind.

He was refusing to cooperate, he gets popped with guns, they make arrests and a second later he’s testifying. Look, I’d probably do the same, but I didn’t build cache by promoting a different image. If he’s learned his lesson, that’s fine, but he’s masking it with the “I’m a grown man” two-step. He knows full well he’d still be spewing “Stop Snitching” rhetoric had he not been looking at life… Life, yeah that’s what a Black man who’s a two-time felon gets in real life when they get knocked with machine guns with silencers and beams. Those are all cases on their own. No lawyer makes that go away, so stop drinking the Kool Ade!

how about if you have a crew of people doing a crime together hustling or whatever why wouldn’t you think at least one wouldn’t try to hustle their way out of jail, common sense. its funny how criminals have trust issues but include everyone in their crimes or brag to the world. but anyway coming from the birth place of the stop snitching ridiculousness can everyone give it up, it’s been going on forever people making songs or videos about it wont make it stop. ever heard of “no honor amongst thieves” that goes for drug dealers, rapest, etc.. Court hearings are recorded all the time unless stated by the judge. It’s normally under the judges discretion. T.I ain’t really snitch, in my opinion.
If you belong to group/team/organization that abides by the no snitching law, you’d know how and when it applies. It applies more so If you belong to gangs such as the bloods, crips, latin kings, LAPD, NYPD, ya dig?
When you see a crackhead steal money out of an old lady’s purse and a police officer is standing near by your supposed to get the crackhead arrested. If 2 people commit a crime and one of them drops a dime to get a lessor fine than thats a snitch ya dig?

Half of you simpletons are missing the point here; debating whether or not of technically snitched (by a wide ranging array of definitions,) and also whether it was justifiable. The pivotal issue, and the only one relevant (if you’re a fan of personal responsibility,) is whether TI is a hypocrite. And the simple fact is that he is. He’s cultivated the image of a gangster who keeps it thorough and handles his biz in the streets without having to bitch out and lean on the authorities. Then he gets caught up trying to do just that – and becomes a collaborator. Let’s call it what it is. He’d be worthy of respect if he admitted it. Instead he’s pretending he got off with PSA type community service that only a man of his influence could provide. Bullshit – he learned his lesson.

Let’s get it clear. This was T.I.’s best friend. Everyone has a best friend. Personally, I have a best friend who treats me like family and I treat him like family. I don’t know about how strong their friendship was, but think of it this way. If someone murdered a close friend/family member of yours, you wouldn’t testify? I don’t care if T.I. still calls himself a gangster and what not, in all honesty, but I think anyone with a fundamental set of morals can agree that it’s a lot more honourable to live with the fact that you testified for a righteous cause than to live with the fact that you’re not helping the victim’s family by acting like an arrogant waste, always acting tough and gangster to project an external image when your bitch-made self is breaking on the side. Call him a “snitch” if you want. That so-called “snitch” has more honour than all you fake thugs combined.
