Things I Love: Action Bronson x Party Supplies “Hookers On The Point” Video

oh. my. GOD.
How can Action Bronson, Party Supplies and Rik Cordero/MadRyan do this to me before noon on a Monday?!?!
Trust me when I tell you, ten bowls of Wheaties couldn’t prepare me for Rik’s evocative re-inactment of that classic classic HBO documentary, Hookers On The Point.
Like a portly, hirsute 2012 Mr. White Folks, Bronson plays a lovely pimp with a fabulous attitude. Party Supplies plays a surprisingly fit-looking dope fiend. Dory Greenberg from Audible Treats is amazing as the “lady of the night.” One of Three21Media‘s own directors Robbie Barclay plays a shady lawyer. And that’s Three21Media producer Ryan Biazon’s classic Benz being rocked. Also, fun fact…the video was shot in College Point, Queens…not exactly the Point (that was Hunt’s Point, in The Bronx), but definitely a legit hooker-walkabout.
“Hookers on the Point” is featured on Action Bronson and Party Supplies upcoming Blue Chips Mixtape…dropping on March 12!
Please someone make a gif of Action doing the classic Big Boi “So Fresh So Clean” foot flare…at the 1:47 mark! *crying*
Speaking of interesting videos…that Gillie the Kid “Chicken Man” video that came out recently doesn’t have Rik’s production value…but….um…wow.
After the jump
At first Gillie and his crew chomping on drumsticks made me so hungry. Until around the 2:13 mark…when oddly enough, I became slightly nauseous. “Pow Pow”? That young lady in the kitchen may be a bit over confident in the impact of her buttcheeks.
Thanks, I think, to Jeremy Ervins for sending it over, LOL. Gillie and DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz: King of Philly Edition comes out March 8th.

Get off the next man PP!!!
Not for nothing but they filmed about half of that “Hookers” doc under the bridge in Queens and passed it off as HP. I guess they just wanted to preserve continuity and didn’t think “Hookers at the Point and under the 59th Street Bridge” would have the same ring. So I guess it’s inadvertantly consistent.
I remember back when I was waiting tables in like ’99, the one bitch showed up with her family for an after-Christening luncheon. The one that says “Don’t play me nigga, play Lotto.” Turns out there was some paper missing from the envelopes at the end of the afternoon and the parents made a big deal out of it. Could it have been her? Everyone assumed so, but I don’t want to stereotype.
Fuck with Bronson too, good guy, good music, finally: originality!

I remember the original ‘cindi’, yo (she had the yuck-mouth-missing tooth-gap smile;but she was a street vet though, SALUT!)
Why was I so young/and older watching that shit!? My life has been Burroughs(esque)ever since…

The action Bronson joint is cool, but I keep seeing this heavy white guy and hearing what sounds like a ghost face impersonation. Good, but I couldn’t get past the Ghost similarity

my only issue is that now Ghost goes out his way to not sound like how he use to when rza would do his vocals ( see his fisr 3 solo’s ) …

Hi this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you
have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
