The Worst Thing You’ll See Today: Footage Leaks of Lil’ Reese Assaults a Female
Posted by Miss Info under about miss info , beef , crime , not good for hip hop , not good for humanity , outrage , sigh.... , ugh , videos[100] Comments
While Drake has been tweeting about how many times he listened to Chief Keef’s “Love Sosa”…another member of Keef’s crew is getting attention for a different kind of “hit.”
Lil’ Reese…who, along with Lil’ Durk, is one of the more talented members of Keef’s GBE crew…is seen in this shaky cell phone footage arguing with a female at some kind of house party.
After the argument escalates, you see Lil’ Reese poke the young woman. She smacks his hand away. He shoves her. She rushes him in retaliation….and then Reese proceeds to punch and kick her repeatedly even after the girl is prone on the ground, clearly no longer fighting back.
This is not like the infamous uppercut video, where a crazy woman spits on and attacks a bus driver, before he knocks her out. Both the driver and the woman are facing charges.
This is not like the murder of Jo Jo, a 16-year-old aspiring rapper, whose public beef with Chicago rivals, Chief Keef, Lil Reese and Lil Durk was just as much a gang beef as it was a rap one. Keef and Reese mocked the murder on twitter.
It’s not about poverty, or gang culture, or lead-based paint. This is just a demonstration of an inferior human character…and the sign of someone who needs help and punishment.
Be disgusted…
After the jump
Lil Reese says this footage of him beating up a young woman is “old.” In fact, Reese reacted by tweeting: “The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum shit from years ago damnn we winnin it’s 2 late… #3hunna”
Explained: Poor people have uploaded this footage because they need distraction, and because they want to keep Reese from progressing. But it’s too late, because he’s highly evolved. Gang slogan.
Even if this video is from “years ago,” what’s the difference? So, maybe he was 16 then and 18 now?
Will there be any ramifications? Seems doubtful. In fact, the 2nd most depressing part of this clip is the fact that if it was from “years ago,” then more than likely…the female victim didn’t press any charges and saw no justice served.

October 25th, 2012 at 3:39 am
The difference is you consider her a ‘female partygoer’, rather than just ‘partygoer’, which is very sexist if you ask me.
If your boy ‘Gunplay’ did that to a male, you would have uploaded it 6 ways to Sunday with a totally different title.
#justsaying.

it’s sexist to point out that a man beat up a woman instead of just another man? you have a murky understanding of the word sexist. but….cool, whatever.

Would you consider her a ‘black partygoer’? or would that be racist?
She hit him first and offended him.

I think you mean defended and even still, him defending himself is not the case in the video. Defending himself would be getting her to stop hitting him, not overpowering her and then continually hitting her does not constitute self defense by any interpretation of the law.

What video did you watch? He clearly hit her first. He pushes her face at the 37 second mark and pushes her at the 39 second mark. At around the 20 second mark, you can’t see her, but you can hear her say “Don’t push me”, which means she was pushed, touched and hit before she responded with one hit, to which Reese responded with a flurry of blows and when the fight seemed fair, i.e. she was holding her own, another woman and Reese’s male friend jump in to help him. Pretty pathetic behavior from Reese, he started a fight he could finish, then had to get two other people to help him. Pure idiocy, with a dose of cowardice as well.

Info..I usually ride with you, but you are confused. Maybe you forget the relationship between the things that you are observing. Hip-Hop emerged from urban life…low socio-economic urban life. And in urban areas with a low socio-economic population, there is usually violence. I would just prefer that you not report on things like this at all if you are going to act clueless, and attempt to railroad a young man who is obviously not what we would consider “high caliber”. Such is the story for thousands of inner city young black males that cant read or write. Have you ever seen his tweets? Bottom line is…attack the issue, not the person.

I agree! You can’t condemn Reese for his actions then call rappers who glorify murder, crack, cocaine, WEED, gang activity and other crimes “classic” . Like some kinda way because you got away with slanging D in Queens, its all cool now and your lyrics are your way of expressing all the pain you experienced as you was stacking $200K each year off crack! Spare me!!! You see a Beatdown and whine but say NOTHING when these same themes are pumped constantly on mixtapes, CDs, videos, radio and at the club… I bet half the people who responded to this has a Too Short album, listens to NWA, Nas, MobbDeep, MeekMill etc… Hiphop was born in the ghetto. Why get in a twist because lil rapper cats is acting ghetto now? I mean if that’s the case then f#ck Kendrick Lamar because he down with Dre and Dre beat up Dee Barnes!!! i bet people that complained here have bought EVERY album Dre had anything to do with since the Dre/Dee Barnes incident and never batted an eye!! Most of the big rap names today have admitted in some form of being connected to major crime organizations in NYC , from the 80′s and early 90′s and people are STILL buying sh#t from them!!

But sad to say the only ramifications that wouldve came from this was her callin up her ppl n those ppl comin to see him n shots being fired. Thats the hood circa every year!!

She didn’t hit him first. She was asking him why he was in her house. Who let him in? He pushed her cause she was confronting him. You justifying beating a woman with “if a man did it to another man it wouldn’t matter”???? Your rationale and justification show the problem with society. This is also why children are abused…cause they said something, did something…anything but what the egotistical terrorist deems worthy behavior. You are a warped species.

no.
I said it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Like the G-unit/Gunplay vids that were posted a week ago.
follow the argument, not what argument you’d like it to be.
and you’re right (I was wrong,), she didn’t hit him first, but she antagonized him and if it was a male this wouldn’t have been a ‘big deal’ or even posted, which leads me to my ‘sexist’ argument.
Equal but separate isn’t acceptable, it’s either equal or not.
He’s messed up for fighting someone over nothing, but if he was fighting with a male this video wouldn’t even have been uploaded.

This is definitely a sign of someone that needs help. While we can argue this issue on larger scales regardless there is no denying this should be disturbing to everyone.
@Headway,
Info is a Hip Hop journalist.. We are not talking about a worldstar video of a bus driver upper cutting a female passenger (Also disturbing) but a “hip hop” blogger is talking about a “Hip Hop artist” So if it has to do with hip hop… Why wouldn’t she report it? There is No way you or anybody can justify the beating and stomping out of this or any woman. Regardless of her race or sex.. The gun play incident was ignorance too. While you claim it wasn’t a big deal a few sites are saying “allegedly” that was how police found him for a warrant and now he’s in jail…
@Rugbino I’m a 25 year old black male so myself and others live the oppression you speak about everyday. Obviously there are many different levels of poverty around this country but at no point were me or nobody I’ve ever known told stomping out a woman was okay. As oppressed people we are taught to defend ourselves. He OBVIOUSLY was not defending himself in this situation.
Regardless of what we didn’t see can either of you really logically defend this video?

Well said. Isn’t it worrying how some (male) hip hop fans think in regards to domestic violence? Remember how many rappers were defending Chris Brown by saying he’s ‘young’? I’m not a Chris Brown hater, however his scenario seems apt in this circumstance.
Another interesting point is that this being the digital age, we’re more likely to find mobile phone footage of rappers doing reprehensible things. Imagine if our favourite 90s rappers were exposed this way? Okay, I’m done. Sorry for the long ass reply.

The idea that “oh that’s just how it is in the hood” is the most adolescent absurd thing I’ve ever heard from someone probably living a comfortable white suburban or rural lifestyle.

I can’t wait till they release a statement saying something like. “We the members of GBE crew would like to apologizes to our community. We do not endorse the beating of women. Please forgive us.”

agreed this is disgusting. I would like to say that the difference between this and chris brown is that I have no clue about what happened between the 2 of them for him to react like that. On the other hand ive watched this and this guy just about went on her for the dumbest reason. how many punches? how many kicks? why? what if that was your mom?. Man this is sad, be it past or present that kind of violence isnt a mistake its blatantly how he is. Its appalling and all his respnonses to this dont even show a sign of remorse. this counts as street cred right? now he can really sing about beating on girls cause we know he does it.
Anyway I know your gonna keep playing his songs and the ones he features on.
the day i hear a radio station stand behind what they believe in and not what the labels are paying for will never come so i think this was a wasted effort. still i wont touch another thing this kid puts out. thats pretty much all i can do as a person to show that i do not condone violence against women for 99% of the reasons out ther

Its messed up that the camera man would even record the whole thing. None of his boys couldn’t even say “Yo chill Reese she a female, let it go”. All the lil kids who sneak to watch shit like this will think its ok to strike a female & this kind of thing is what we need to stop doing. I wonder if Reese’s mother, aunt, grandma or sister (if he has one) watched this video. I wonder if he ever thought of “yo what if that was a man hitting on my mother?” Regardless of what they argued about whether if she nagged him or he nagged her it is still wrong to attack a female. As an African-Ameriican male I am ashamed of this & I fear that more & more males or even stupid females will say “Yeah that, (excuse me let me type how they type) yeh dat gurl dersev dat sh!t #300 all dey Sosa Baby!!”

1)Are all these folk with 101 reasons to excuse hitting a woman as quick to bang on a grown man? I doubt it.
2)Labels are signing these kids up then being REAL quiet in the face of their negativity? Is there no moral compass to these businesses.
3)Where are the OG’s of hip hop? Instead of a Fat Joe making “Instagram that Hoe” it’d be nice to see the guys that paved the wave check these clowns.

I think that she was dead wrong for trying to be bold and she got a whoppin. Lil Reese is wrong too. He beat this female like she was a man. I think its disgusting for it to be trending on twitter. Lil Reese who ever he is will now be aware of his actions. No matter when this occurred, he is now labeled a woman beater like Chris Brown. That is something that you cant get back. He’s career should be done but its not. The girl should have left him but I doubt it. Sad situation, camera man worse than Reese IMO. Just know people he doesn’t represent the views or actions of all young black men. Really sad I would love for a hip hop leader, political leader to speak up and try and help this young man.

this punk got on a True Religion shirt in the caption, if he had a real religion he wouldn’t carry himself like that. He doesn’t have a true concept of god, its clear who he worships.

I agree with Nightfall. Where are the moral compasses to these businesses. By signing these kids, they empower them through fame and financial wealth. While I understand many rappers glorify this lifestyle, this Lil Reese video and the Chief Keef tweet laughing at JoJo’s video warrant them being dropped from the label. I also know that the labels never will. The popularity of “Love Sosa” is evidence of the power of this movement.

Okay stop chicks from jumping on these dudes dicks when they see them and maybe they will change. Why change when you can get what you want anyway. Unless they lose fans (which they wont), women/girls stop giving them the pussy or they get arrested and do time. Aint shit changing. Rule in hood come at me like dude you will get treated like a dude. Not agreeing but look at Chris Brown. He doing okay and back with a women who he beat her fucking ass. Money and fame make bitches and women stay in place. It not right but its the truth.

So here’s what’s gonna happen, probably he will end up apologizing with the girls in an Oprah show he’ll say he’s sorry and he loves and respect all women blah blah blah..then and a couple of months later the Girl will publicly state that she still love him, and she will publish it via twitter…its always the same..with girls..

unfortunately this behavior is customary in the hoods these men come from. there’s no ethics in these hoods! wow, i thought everyone knew that if you talk shit or esp swing at a young man in the hood it’s a 90% chance you’ll get fukked up, male, female, animal, crackhead auntie, whatever! people get killed over words. most of you aren’t even fans. they rap about how they lived, if you listened this wouldn’t have surprised you

He’s wack for that. He didn’t hit a girl, he fought one. Like a girl might I add.

there’s probably not one “gangster rapper” that hasn’t fought a woman, it just wasn’t filmed & leaked.

Inferior human being(S), it’s plural, because there are men standing around not doing a damn thing about it. Low socioeconomic status has nothing to do with it. I come from a low income community and no one thinks violence is fucking okay. You’re actually being pretty degrading about someones moral compass by saying that they’re only being inferior because of they’re poor…fucking stupid. Stupid people always come up with stupid excuses.

well, actually, tart, since that footage actually preceded this blog….I did discuss the issue of him mushing a def jam exec at length on the air on Hot97, and was critical…but also brought in context. but keep waiting….in fact, hold your breath while doing it.
Thanks for visiting!

It’s funny that Miss Info makes a living off music that verbally assaults women. But she has a problem with the natural consequence of such a culture.

What I find odd is that of ALLL these posts about the new Love Sosa video (which I like but have mixed emotions about)…NO ONE is commenting on how disturbing the “get hit wit the cobra/now that boy slumped over” line is…and then if the line wasn’t an attention grabber, then possibly him acting out being shot in the back catches your attention…I can’t help but relate that line to JoJo being shot in the back while trying to run away…or maybe that’s “too much” of a reach….actually listen to what ppl are saying
