The Weeknd got an early Christmas gift this week, as his new album STARBOY lands No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Continue after the jump….

Lead by the Daft Punk-assisted title track, STARBOY moved 348,000 equivalent album units (209,000 in traditional album sales) becoming the third-largest debut of 2016 trailing only Drake’s VIEWS (1.04 million units) and Beyonce’s LEMONADE (653,000 units) according to Nielsen Music.

The Toronto singer now has two No. 1 albums, his first being 2015’s platinum-selling Beauty Behind the Madness LP. Streams played a big part in the success of The Weeknd’s new album, as the 26-year-old broke Spotify’s single-day streaming record when the album dropped on Nov. 25.

Starting February 2017, The Weeknd will embark on the “Legend of the Fall” world tour, hitting Europe, South America and North America. Get the album on iTunes and stream below courtesy of Spotify.
