The Truth About Freeway’s Cameo at Jay-Z’s Philly Press Conference

It won’t be until a well known rapper “ones himself” that “rap twitter” realizes the power of slanderous tweets that get taken way, way out of context. I know I’ve personally partook in Twitter foolery before but the Freeway slander this morning was too much for me. Dude is one of the few members of State Property that always kept it 100 about his relationship with Jay. People started making all kinds of wild assumptions about Freeway crashing the press conference without Jay’s consent. This is 100% false. I spoke to someone close to Freeway about an hour ago…
Sources tell VIBE, Hov personally invited Freeway to appear at the press conference with him and that the two spoke both before and after the event. The speculation of stage crashing is totally false.
From the jump, Free was fully aware he would not be taking press photos with Jay and Philly’s politicians. The rapper’s past drug felony drug charge is the sole reason for this.
According to a source, Jay-Z and Freeway remain close friends to this day.

Isnt it your interpretation of his body language? who knows what the man is thinking but people assume and then speak on their assumptions as if factual. The man could be happy he’s not in the pic. His body language could be cool Im on over here. What we perceive isnt absolute. Thats a real police statement

When I see this pic I see what this country represents now… The “Haves vs The Have not”. On one side you see the rich and powerful all dressed nice and smiling and on the other side you see the poor and powerless looking sad and upset . This pic really speaks to where we are in America right now.

I’m not speaking of freeway in particular I’m speaking of what he represents. He’s not wearing a fancy expensive suite or jewelry. He’s not even smiling in this pic but when you look to your left you see the wealthy people in nice outfits happy smiling and enjoying life.

The race for presidency just really began and Jay is a huge supporter of President Obama. There’s a fine line to be walked between keeping it funky and political correctness. I don’t see a problem. “You can come with me to the White House, get your suit up”
