Few thought on some of the comment i read here.
First off, people(Arab) werent really upset with the first arab money version. Only thing was the Jibberish in the hook, dud was saying nothing... just making sounds that sounded arabic...
Me im egyptian, i thought it wasnt really creative in a sense..
Think about someone making a songs about Hispanics or latinos and just saying anything in the hook that sounded Spanish.
Point is, theres alot of People who speak arabic in the TRI-STATE AREA Ron Browz, Busta or someone could of gotten it right and had someone help them out.

Then.... Part two

They get the remix popping.
Hook has arabic in it, Problem is its Qouted from the Holy Quran.

Bism Allah Al Rahman Al Raheem
Hamdu ALllah Rab Al- Alameen

As a muslim, i was like whoa.
As a musician(producer) i thought it was creative but the wrong tone for the song.
They probably had the right intentions, but misrepresented it without knowing the true meaning.

I talked to a few muslim people, and the reaction was negative.
THEY TOOK THE REMIX OFF HOT 97 BECAUSE IT WAS OFFENSIVE, basically just replaced the hook.
In England a DJ was suspended for playing the song.

If you play close attention to the media, you see how The Quran is always mentioned in terms of respect it. Whether its a Soldier in Iraq who does something offensive to a Quran, or stories we used to hear about how poeple would disrepect inmates qurans in Abu Gharib prison in iraq or Guantanamo Bay.
If the US military was taking actions against soldiers who disreepected the Quran, then you see the Line in the sand when it comes to the Culture, religion and the Beliefs.

All in all, it was more of a behind the scenes contreversy, Program directors had to pull plug on song. Some stations kept it. Power 105.1 plays it still.
Respect to HOT97 for pulling it.

About mazzi. i know him personally, good dude, hes Long time friend of cipha sounds and thats how him and noose got this popping.
Noose is also my dude, ive been producing records for him since he started.
Weve got orignal songs with Akon, Bone thugs, Dj Khaled, K-slay alot of good music.

You could listen to a few joints below copy the links or go to his myspace/noosemusic or website noosemusic.com

Check out his youtube channel for a lil more insight on dude, also watch some of his music videos
"Cry" is a good one, about inner city struggle, clips shot in Hudson County Jail, and lots of jersey city and paterson NJ locations.
Also paying respect to RIP Screw in the video.

Wow, this is getting a little out of proportion. Reminds me of the financial crisis that gets worse by people thinking and saying that it's getting worse.

Fact is: It's not about who is involved in a round table like this one, everyone should have an opinion and should be free to raise his/her voice. It gets more interesting, however, the more (diverse) people are involved that can speak for the feelings of certain ethnic groups. I think Mazzi is a great addition as he is muslim and understand the ides and difficulties of combining modern art with the islamic religion, but he's not arab and 100% hiphop so he can act as some kind of translator here.
I dont really know Noose/Newz/Nooz, but he is somebody that is potentially directly effected by the lyrics and he even saw the problem arising at a very early stage and offered his advice.
Then you have Rosenberg who is, I assume, very familiar with the arabic situation and (and that's what's far more important) interested and intelligent enough to discuss complex topics like this from a hiphop stand point. Would you want Kay Slay do that round table? Exactly... I'm glad somebody at the biggest and most influential hiphop radio station in the world is touching this subject. I'm hoping that the years of hiphop artists & industry people not commenting anything that might get controversial are over. The US started several wars, had a president faking the elections and the whole world witnessed the Kathrina catastrophy and only a handful of artists really said something about it.

Now for the last posts that said "the bible as been recited in lyrics, why shouldn't the quran be recited": The christian culture has a far more open-minded view at things like that. It used to be different but the christian culture is in a stage where you can do pretty much everything with the bible and Jesus and everything that used to be sacred. Maybe not in South America, maybe not in Italy, but in Northern America and most parts of Europe, sacred things are not so sacred anymore. I'm not saying this is good, I'm not saying this is bad, but this is the way most parts of the christian communities handle things in 2008. The muslim communities are totally different from that. The quran is absolutely untouchable and there's no way around it.
Now, to sum it all up:
1) Everybody should be careful whenever they touch religious matters, especially when it's about something you are not too familiar with.
2) Then again, if Busta is a muslim,... wtf? He should really know better.
3) How can we seriously discuss a situation that's about religion and ethnic groups and be full of prejudices and hate. This needs to stop. If you're not ready to accept that there's more than one standpoint you'll never be able to understand other cultures. You don't have to embrace everything but accept it for what it means to other people.

My gripe was the ignorance - Busta is just so misinformed it's pathetic. I thought his verse on Nas' "Fried Chicken" was so multi-layered and creative too.

White powers that be take the lower Black negroes very seriously! They make themselves very aware of the progress of Black folk. Maybe they didnt take them seriously enough.....Obama in the office now...LOL

Negro Money....niggas talk about Negro money all the time.....Listen to your average rap song now a days. Rappers do nothing but talk about their Jewelry, and their (imaginary) Bank accounts.

It's not really acting Black, it's acting hood.

@LOL....

What exactly do you mean by acting black? Just curious to know what acting black is, so I don't offend any black people.

@LOL.....I don't see the relevance of your attempts at belittling Dominicans (I could be wrong). It's an ethnic group, and we are proud to be Dominicans, just as I assume you are proud to be black Americans. Please note that Arab, Arabic, or whatever derivative of the word does not denote a race either. Arab is an ethnic group as well.

That said, I didn't see any point of this round table talk...don't feel that the real issues were spoken of. While Mazzi and Noose are of middle eastern ethnicity, they don't really attack the issue at hand---offensive use of the word Arab, or the language. And who really is protesting this song....I haven't heard of any massive outrage or boycott..then again I have been in the dark for a while!

Respect to everyone's religion but Hip Hop has been quoting the bible for years, both negative and positive, if you wanted to stand up and say something, you should have said it then.
PS: Mazzi dont get mad because the Koran is being quoted, y'all aint special, what? unless you are saying you are better than us, and if that's what you are saying come out and say it.
