Cool Kids at Leaders in Chicago, May 2008

If you weren’t caught up in the hipster rap hate circle around ’08 (shame on you if you were), you’ll be happy to hear that The Cool Kids are officially back. After calling a quick timeout to work on their solo careers last year, Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks have reunited and released not one but two new singles. There’s “Computer School” and “Chop,” a collaboration with the Bay Area’s HBK Gang, and both draw on the same throwback, perfect-for-the-whip steez as their early work. As the cherry on top of these new tunes, we can expect a new album from The Cool Kids called Shark Week later this year.
