The best is behind us: Vintage Jay-Z and old cassette tapes!

Today was filled with nostalgic goodness…
There was some quality time spent with one Todd Smith, listening to his new album and more importantly hearing him campaign about how/why the East can win. (LL Cool J missed his calling as a college football coach, he’s a great motivational speaker, lol) I’ll have more on this later…
Then, thanks to Marvin for sending over this set of vintage Jay-Z recordings…including Hov’s freestyle from Big Daddy Kane’s 1991 birthday party, “Originators,” and more good-Jay goodies : )
Click here to bask in the past, lol.
And finally, in my neverending battle against the loads of junk that I’ve amassed over the years….I’ve been going through some boxes of really really old dusty cassette tapes. And here’s an oddity.
(LOL at the completely ridiculous umlaut above the “y”)
Click more to see the song list of Jay-Z oldies : )

Classic Material right there. Brings a tear to my eye that artist (in my opinion) dont put as much fire into their music anymore.

Damn, I hate to say it, but Jay was WACK as shit back then, just listening to these tracks is torture, and I am a Jay Z Stan, Listen to some old’ B.I.G tapes yeah his voice was mad high pitched but lyrically he was killin shit or compare these tracks to what Ice Cube was spitting back then Amerikkas Most Wanted, Death Certificate, Jay is the most improved rapper EVAR!!

Google this folks, “Jay-Z library of a legend torrent.” You’ll get a set of files, about 11 of them full of b-sides, remixes, unreleased tracks, etc, including the joints Miss Info put up!

It’s weird how before rappers get big, they have that hunger in their flow. I like Cam’s hunger flow.
