Teyana Taylor’s debut album VII came out a little over three years ago on G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Records. Since then, the entertainer has focused her time on motherhood, collaborating with Reebok, and fashion. The Harlem singer’s celebrity has risen to new levels during that time, thanks to her appearance in Kanye West’s “Fade” video alongside her husband Iman Shumpert. In support of West’s The Life of Pablo album, the video won the “Best Choreography Award” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Teyana is now shifting focus on her forthcoming sophomore album, which she reveals is now completed. In a new interview with Oyster Magazine, TT speaks about finishing her new project that’s executive produced by Kanye West.

The album is actually done, just waiting on some minor tweaks and whatever last minute switches or edits and a green light from Kanye and should be good to go,” says Teyana. Due later this year, Taylor tells Oyster’s Jason Crombie that, “Mr. West is EP-ing my entire album — you guys will just have to wait and see what magic he’s created!.”
