I’m sure a lot of you wonder what these rap dudes actually listen to. Whether they’re just being political or sincere, it’s always cool to hear what music they really enjoy. In a recent interview, T.I. counted down some of his favorite rap albums of the year. He mentioned Kendrick’s debut and Meek’s as two of his top projects of 2012. Guess who else he named? Props to the Rap-Up

Of course T.I. would nominate his own album on that list. He’s so modest.

Im not being funny info but we would be LUCKY to receive 5 good albums in one year from hip hop in this day and age.
Personally, Im surprised he could name 5. For me Kendrick and POSSIBLY the good music joint (anything after track 6 was garbage) were the only albums worth commenting on. Meek Mill – 4 tracks worth bothering about.
The vast vast majority of material produced these days is disposable garbage that we wont be listening to nor will we remember 5 years from now. A classic is a rare thing these days ladies and gentlemen yes indeed.

The only classic hip hop album this year was from Nas “Life is Good”. Kendrick Lamar album was good, but not a classic. I’m sorry but T.I. album was nothing special and look at the 5 albums (B.O.B, Meek Mill, T.I) to name a few he selected. Somebody need to tell homie to stay off that stuff because he definitely fell off after this album…Peace
