SZA’s breakout year continued this weekend as the First Lady of TDE appeared as musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Making her SNL debut, the singer/songwriter was introduced by actor James Franco for her first performance. Dressed in a shimmering green dress, SZA performed a stripped down version of her recent platinum-selling single “The Weekend,” backed by a choir and live band. The New Jersey native would later return for an encore, picking up the tempo with a live rendition of her smash-hit “Love Galore.”

The 28-year-old songstress is currently on her North American road show “CTRL: The Tour,” wrapping up on Dec. 17 in St. Louis, MO. “The Weekend” appears on SZA’s studio debut album CTRL, available everywhere now.

Thank you James Franco, @sza, Steve Martin, Dave Franco, Jonah Hill, and @sethrogen! Good night! #SNL
