Too bad they awarded it off-camera. But I’m loving the fact that a song that so well reflects Chicago’s Southside has gotten such a big (if not obsolete) award. I hear Common found out about his win while in the studio out here in LA. He didn’t even plan to go to the award ceremony after last year’s disappointing shut out.

So, what was my old pal Com doing in the studio?…..more on that later ; )
