Video Leaks of Physical Altercation Between Solange & Jay Z Following Met Gala

Something very serious must have happened between Solange and her brother-in-law Jay Z during the Met Gala last week. While everyone was documented having fun at the glamourous party, the entire Carter/Knowles clan attended an afterparty at the Standard Hotel and were later seen leaving via private elevator.
In the surveillance footage you see Beyonce and Jay Z enter, as well as their security guard. Solange enters and as soon as the doors close, she starts to angrily confront Jay Z. Her anger escalates into a full on physical attack, punching, kicking and thrashing until the bodyguard restrains her. And even then she is still gesturing to Jay and trying to get at him (via TMZ).
While Jay Z reacted to Solange’s fury by grabbing her leg to prevent her from kicking him again, he never fights back or shows visible signs of anger. Beyonce does not intervene with Solange at all. All parties remain calm to prevent the fight from escalating further. And the bodyguard deftly stops the elevator to make sure the incident remains private, or so he thought.
It does not seem as though Jay is surprised. And neither is Beyonce. Both seem very calm but obviously upset. Solange did not seem drunk only because when she enters the elevator she appears calm. And when paparazzi catch the whole family leaving the building, she also seems calm. But still very angry. Beyonce gets into the car with her. At first Jay Z looks to be getting into the same car as well, but is directed to a separate car.
Family disputes are par for the course. But rarely do we see behind a curtain as ironclad as the Carters.
UPDATE: Extended footage of the altercation has surfaced, in which Solange continues her attack on Jay Z for another two minutes. At one point, as Beyonce begins to exit the elevator, Solange launches her purse at Jay before her sister reenters the elevator to try to calm things.

The last option makes sense, being that Bey not reacting, yet that in itself was kinda weird…Of course it could be SO many possible reasons, one being the Jay-Bey relationship being on rocky terms, and Solange being the feisty one is defending what Bey won’t I guess…whatever it is, that isn is personal, very personal, and the answers will come out shortly due to their risk of losing good pub…

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.. Its so funny how things looked perfect going into the elevator, coming out of the elevator but all hell broke loose inside the elevator.. That entire scene says sooo much about the lives of these so called important people.. They have just as many hardcore dysfunctions as all of us..

I think solange was defending Beyonce for something J did, ain’t no woman would let her sister fight her baby daddy and husband and then leave with the sister and not the man.
Plus there was very little contact between B and J as they walked out.

But I coulda swore there was a bunch of pics of her and the Asian guy she was with either on this sight or on her @saintrecords IG page(which I follow for some reason). One even captioned “…He’s such a great guy…” Which are now all gone.😒

In the pictures taken after the fight, Beyonce is looking at Solange and smiling. Afterwards she and Beyonce left in the same car when Beyonce had the option to get in the car with Jay. I believe that Jay said or did something out of line and Solange was defending her sisters honor. That’s why Beyonce did not try to stop her sister from whipping on his ass.

I hate seeing women attack men so the simple fact that it can jeopardize his entire life. If you wanna yell, throw shit, whatever. But don’t put your hands on me. Especially if I’m not even reacting. Bartley defending myself. If you do our relation is over. No matter the extent of it nor how long we’ve been together. How could I ever trust you after that? Round of applause for the bodyguard. He was in a tough spot, and he kept it pretty cool. Can’t body Solange bc she’s a woman and she’s family, but can’t let your client get hit either.

This is all just a Publicity Stunt for her new single with Kendrick Lamar. Solange did what she wanted despite her Publicist advising against that type of stunt and offered alternative actions to promote her projects.

The statement is referring to the Standard Hotel employee who leaked the footage (“breach of our security system”; “confidentiality that we count on providing our guests”), not the fight.

I really feel like she was out of control. There are cameras in the projects why would there not be one in there.Especially at this type of event. SOLONGE WANTED TO EMBARRASS BEE IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY Jay is talking to Bee he’s respecting her sister because we all know that could have gone a lot differently. If the choice must be made Bee will stick with her husband. Her sister is grown this must of had Bee crying all night. Bottom line they just like everyone else with drama just that they have money. What exactly should men do when black women do something wrong?
I for one, think no one should have a right to put hands on someone else. Especially when we are trying to teach our young men not to strike the opposite sex. We can’t as a society reprimand the Chris Browns’ of this world while we justify and condone the actions of the Solanges’.

With no sounds its pretty hard to tell whats going on but both the carters seemed to carry themselves pretty well. For the people say B didn’t stand up for Jay – 50 secs into the video she clearly stands in the way of jay in a protective manner no?
