Snoop speaks on Soulja Boy vs. Ice-T, and “Kobe, tell me how my a– taste?”

sadly…in both instances, he hasn’t watched the Soulja Boy vs Ice-T videos, or heard the Shaq-tastic freestyle. I’d love to see his reaction after he’s seen the actual footage. (but thanks to Matt and the crew at KKFR Phoenix’s “The Nutz in the Morning” show.)

Good for snoop. I’m glad he said he’s rolling with Ice T, with no questions asked.
This whole thing is dumb and this is the only reply i’ve made about it, but i’m happy Snoop didn’t hesitate.

Ice-T is too old to talk like that period, no ,atter who he is talking to.
But his comments on Soula boys music were dead on. people are talking about how T is mad cause Soulja boy is geting more money. WHAT?
first of all, all the money Ice-T has made of of films music and television will trump any amount of money Soulja boy will make off of ringtone sells in the forseeable future.
secondly, the fact that people are equating a rappers merrit with their bank-rolls is the kind of thing taht ice-t is indirectly speaking out against.
Ice-t got in “the game”( which is a shallow way of describing the hip-hop culture) long before there was any promise of fame or fortune as a result of playing said game.
he had a love for hip-hop, and since he was the only rapper representing the west-coast at the time, he felt he had stories to tell that nobody had heard yet (i.e. Queen latiffa has said that she had no idea that there were even black people in l.a. until she heard ice-t, let alone that l.a. was a dangerous place to be).
as a true member of the hip-hop community ice-t has a right and a DUTY to call out cats like soulja boy.
and please understand that im not hatng on cats like soula boy for his thing and making music the way he wants to, just please get out from under the banner of hip-hop.
i mean, as hard as hip-hop has had to struggle to be seen as a legitamite ARTISTIC and cultural movement, Soulja boy is commiting a real diservice to the people that fought those battles.
seriously, there are already so many that dont understand hip-hop or where it comes from and think they can criticize from every angle. do we reall want to give them a valid angle to argue from?

Soulja boy is a new level of hip hop. We need to have something for the new generation to relate to because we didn’t grow up when Ice-t did. No disrespect to Ice-t or anything. I mean Soulja boy maybe a no Nas but he is new school. I think all this beef needs to stop between rappers. Can’t they just make money and do positive stuff for their co-rappers?
