Slander Gone Too Far? Chris Brown CDs Tagged With “This Man Beats Women” Disclaimer
Posted by Tanya TC under hmmm....?[12] Comments
Tanya: Growing up in Canada, British retail giants HMV became our hub for previewing and copping newly-released CDs. Its multi-level design featured an overwhelming library of music, with headphones at the end of every aisle to test-drive each of your selections. Their progressive and innovated approach to selling albums always made them stiff competition for fellow record chains.
So you can imagine this was a little baffling to me: HMV has reportedly attached “This Man Beats Women” labels on Chris Brown‘s new album Fortune. While it’s unclear if it’s the doing of the company, reports have also pointed the finger at individual anti-domestic-violence activists. But despite the controversial warning label, Breezy’s fifth album debuted at number one on both the US and UK charts.

You know, that’s funny, when I went to see a wrestling match, they didn’t have this label on the wrestler’s t-shirts, posters and other products and, I never saw the label on Charlie Sheen’s Tiger Blood tonic, the “Winning” t-shirt or any of his products or the baseball players, etc. He got in to it with one woman and it is plural now…
Leave this man ALONE!!!!!!!!

I’m pretty sure Mikey meant “slander” in the slang sense of the word….which basically means harsh, humiliating, attack, etc.
Not in the technical or legal sense of the word.
obvs.

In all honesty we don’t know who to point fingers at but dat shit is foul.
I am not saying we condoning hitting women but if a man isn’t allowed to learn from his mistakes, grow older and move past them then what is he to do? Is he branded as a woman beater for life because of mistakes he made at 19 years old?
I know its gonna be on his wikipedia page forever and the media will always still make jabs at it but at some point you gotta let this man live.

WTF?!?!?! ARE YOU FOR REAL YO?!?!!? This bitch ass mutha fucka has PROVEN himself to be inept, out of line, & lacking anything worthy of respect! Do you remember all his twitter beefs, his homophobic rages, his Drake issues, challenging Frank Ocean, Tyler, & the rest of Odd Future, his lawsuits from neighbors for his living issues & parking violations, his continued immature behaviour, walking out on multiple interviews, the whole destroying property on the Today Show, etc., etc., etc. ….. ALL OF WHICH HAVE OCCURRED IN THE PAST 2 YEARS, & HIS RIHANNA ISSUES OCCURRED 3 YEARS AGO.
If he actually showed that he learned & grew from his issues, I’d be more forgiving! BUT… He hasn’t so FUCK HIM! This mutha fucka is trash! Period! He ain’t learned shit from his cases! Fucking Punk! He’ll get his! Can’t wait for that day to come!

Are you that stupid? leave the dude alone, you don’t even know him. so how can you pass judgement?
if everyone involved has moved on, why are you still crying? slap yourself asap!
you know what how about we all pick on a mistake you’ve made and punish you for the rest of your life for it. Lets see how you like it, better yet lets see how you take it.

As one who’s in Britain often, i find this nonsense deeply hypocritical – the country of Ozzy osbourne, he who fought with his wife like a caged pitbull. we know Paul Mccartney bought out the author to his late wife’s book(some Nicole Simpson type domestic abuse revelations).
We’ve Dappy, older than CB..beat his baby mama a few times in front of their kids(silence)…let’s not go into the other celebs…soccer stars etc..but hey fortune’s been#1 here with one or two singles chart topping. his airplay is top of the bill.
haters always by their opportunistic attitude lose. we’ve a guy Julian Assange hiding in the ecuadorian embassy ducking rape allegations & you wanna pursue CB cos Riri ain’t dancing to your tune. Events like the Duchess’s naked pics have overtaken your b.s

Chris Brown beat up Rihanna. This is a fact. He kicked the fu£k out of her. I struggle to listen to his music now. All I know is that if someone did to my sister, what he did to Rihanna then I wouldn’t ever be able to let it go.

Ahh the wonderful musings of people that wasn’t in the car and how they can’t let it go and their opinions of the man they never met. While the person that was in the car has already forgiven him, recorded with him, embraced him.
