Sigh….DMX speaks from jail on his fall, and his future

While, its obvious that DMX brought most of his problems on himself, its still sad to see him speak on it because you can just see the internal struggle between the X who wants to blame it on the world-the man-the game and the X who is trying to humble himself and be accountable for his current state.
Like when the interviewer asks him how he went from selling 28 million records, to sitting in that striped jumpsuit….I wonder what X almost answers before he cuts himself off.
And as crazy as DMX may be/seem, he’s a really smart, introspective figure. Just a tortured one. I remember this one time he came up to the Morning Show when Sway and I were on….it was chaotic because he couldn’t stop cursing and making dog noises…seriously….but his lucid moments were filled with really sharp observations about the music industry around him. (This was when he had issues with Jay-Z and LA Reid and was leaving for Sony. Which ended up being pointless.)

i dont think the problem is az the problem was him useing drugs,well seems hes not on drugs now well maybe cause hes in jail,when he gets out will he go on a coke rampage or will he start a new life i rember it was just only 10 years ago he was on top of the game selling 4xplat easy.hope he does good when he comes out cause he make some damn good music his sit kinda reminds me of odb in a way.

damn i cant believe thats the same DMX or excuse me Earl Simmons damn they done took the bark out my dude it like a dog who been fixed but i wonder if the interview would have different it would have been done by VLAD, WORLD STAR, SMACK or any other HIP HOP associated writers.

Looks like prison is doing x good, after seeing that video in contrast to his reality tv show it looks like he just needs someone to control him and stop him doing the things that got him thrown in prison in the 1st place

I wish that people on the internet would respect people’s lives. While it may be entertaining, this man is actually going through this. It seems like most people in comment sections talk shit not really thinking about what they are saying.
Maybe this just effects me alot because he was one of my introductions into hip hop..

I got mad love for X man, hate to see this dude locked up. Gospel album tho? *SMH* Glad he found God and all, but X we want that HARD CORE MUSIC…where my dogs at!!?
I think a Hip Hop Interviewer should interview him next time, this dude was weak.
He has a new child too, congrats on that! Ill management team, I think we’ll be seeing more from X very soon!

The only dude that can help X is X. He was always troubled. Anyone who read his book knows that. He always seems restless. On his BET show he couldn’t even sit still. I don’t know if he’s naturally energetic or if it’s the drugs. But it’s unfortunate because he doesn’t seem like the type that would benefit from any sort of counseling. Wherever he’s going, he’s gonna get there on his own.

I hated the 1st time I heard DMX…couldn’t stand they way he rhymed…..he grew on me a little….thought he was very interesting as an actor…I love Belly….what happened to part 2??? But sorry to say ya boy a crackhead…..K solo said it long time ago….it’s sad cause he prolly smoked up most if not all his dough…..so sad

over 28 millions records sold with 6 album, thats averaging abit over 4 million copies per album!!! You told any new artist that they would put these numbers up in there career they would tell you they would be set for life. This is sad, DMX is a disappointment.

X and his music have always been real. I’ve seen drugs take hold of people myself and would also equate it to the devil taking over. What makes X’s situation so sad is that he’s going through it in the public eye and in front of his 8 kids. I pray for him that he finds the strength to continue to fight his devils and cope with his pain.
Whenever i hear about X in trouble, his song slippin always plays through my head… i really hope we hear some new music from him upon his release

No, but seriously. I’m worried about X, especially when he gets out. He has a mental problem. It’s a lot of people who have mental problems and self medicate themselves. He needs professional help.
Evrywhere he goes there’s the devil, because the devil is inside him.
I don’t think he should become a pastor, maybe become a Charity head and uplift himself doing good for other people. Pastor is out of line for X, because I think he’ll make some more mistakes. I’ll pray for him and his family.
