more fascinating footage from Kotori Magazine of lunch with Rza… To be honest, most of the technical gadgetry talk goes right over my head, but I’m more amazing that the guy can remember so many specifics about things that happened like 15 years ago. Meanwhile, I have no idea what I ate for lunch yesterday.
(big up to Enigmatik for the link. Read the Boo Goo Doo Boom blogpost about this)

Just an FYI to everyone, this is the man that Rae didn’t trust with the production of “8 Diagrams”. Sounds to me like the Rza just might know what he is doing when it comes to the producing side of things. Call me crazy…

Rza’s production use to be crazy, after his studio got flooded and he lost most of his beats things have never been the same. Does Wu have a fan base anymore?

yes… they do.
RZA’s kinda off in his own world these days, but that doesnt mean that 8 Diagrams had shitty production.
The problem came with the emcees not really coming together properly to make one cohesive body of work. Instead of an actual “Wu-Tang album” it sounded more like a “RZA Ft. Wu-Tang” album…. Just didnt feel like a true wu banger.
… Not gonna lie, tho. ‘The Heart Gently Weeps’ is one of the best wu jawns i’ve heard in years.
