I’m really enjoying this Scratch Magazine blog. And I know everyone was sad about the magazine folding, but honestly, I barely get to read magazines and newspapers in print anymore, so I’m happy with this online entity. Bfred and “the Gooch” do a great job : )

But anyways, today they posted a youtube interview that Rza did with Kotori.com, (I can’t tell you what that is because the site’s in Japanese, there is a pervy gallery of shojo manga drawings on there). In the video, Rza tells this fantastical story of how, in 1997, he discovered/invented/developed the original Final Scratch-type program, which every DJ in the world (except for my co-worker Cocoa Chanel, lol, bless her gully heart) uses to mix MP3s via laptop. Rza says that his version, The Replicator, was then copied by Final Scratch and Serato’s Scratch Live, and it was a wrap….

Do I believe Rza? Yes, absolutely yes!

Does this belief have anything to do with how awesome his story (and his delivery of said story) is? Definitely.

Am I trying to hear otherwise? No.
