My dude OhsoKool has done ish like this on his weekly NY radio show for the past 4 – 5 years. He gets talented artists (key word “talented”) to either sing improv live over popular songs, or has them bring they equipment up and do some live spontaeous sh–.
Ryan is dope. So is MissInfo, but she already knew that!

Check Ryan Leslie out on Youtube if you haven’t.
He’s an amazing producer.
THERE ARE TONS AND TONS of musicians who can do this exact same thing, and to a greater extent -
their jazz and classical pianists.
Obviously they aren’t involved with pop/hip-hop, but there are thousands of people that can do this.
Hip-hop producers that can do this? Not many.

The fact that we are surprised an artist has actual musical talent lets us know low the music biz has sunk!

My girl Alicia Keys is good at that too and the homeboy John Legend.
But the 2 time greats at it is Stevie Wonder and Baby Face them dudes is ill on the keyboard, ya dig?
A lot of music is pre set and ridiculous rappers on that T-Pain Auto-Tune need to stop it’s gettin irritating.
Hip-hop needs a breath of life we need a hardcore ruff rugged and raw DMX album that incorporates all the nonesense from Sean Bell verdict and all of that police brutality.
I honestly think a sober and clean 90′s X can deliver the goods along with the LOX a hardbody album that is f*ck the sales f*ck the media put out a hot album and lets go on tour will change the game.X is almost 20 Million Sold plus Movie deals e.t.c he can afford to do that.

So talented, but I don’t think He has the vocal chops or an image marketable enough to succeed in today’s marketplace. Dude comes off kinda geeky, even though He’s more than proven Himself behind the boards & His YouTube clips exhibit more personality than some of the more popular artists on the scene right now. I’m an R. Les fan & I have been since Cassie’s debut album. I always root for the underdog & I wish the best for Ryan, but I think His place may be behind the scenes where creativity & talent take precident over image. Just My .02…
