Ryan Leslie Channels Recent Controversy Into ‘Black Mozart’ (Video)

Ryan Leslie is using recent troubles as inspiration for his upcoming documentary and EP, Black Mozart. In an interview with VIBE, the multi-talented artist reveals his recent million-dollar lawsuit loss to a German business man following the loss of his laptop is the source of his new project. Instead of re-releasing his current Les Is More album which just dropped in October, he’d rather channel his emotions into a brand new audio/visual release.
“Black Mozart starts at the moment that I walk out of the courthouse,” he says, referring to the trial that took place in Manhattan federal court this past week. “I wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict, so the album is written and will be recorded in layers with the strings, horns and potentially a choir in the royal conservatory in Vienna, Austria, one of the homes of some of the most classical music ever written.
Fans can expect the new project to arrive early 2013, with an accompanying tour to follow. Until then, Leslie released a trailer for the documentary that you can watch below….

Isn’t the term “Black Mozart” an oxymoron because Mozart was black?
What’s he gonna call his next album, Black Coltrane!?!!

He promised someone a million dollar reward for his laptop, he received the laptop back but refused to pay the reward. He got taken to court & lost.
You brought it on yourself, get over it!

No correction he offered a Million Dollar Reward for his intellectual property. Which is the data stored on the laptop. Laptop hard drive had zero data.
