With his Book of Ryan album arriving this Friday (May 4), Royce Da 5’9″ is on a promo run to promote the new project. The Detroit MC appeared on The Breakfast Club where he discussed the abundance of music he’s delivered over the past year, the current balance in Hip-Hop, and listening to new artists like Lil’ Uzi Vert. Nickel Nine would speak on Book of Ryan, the album being his personal to date, “Boblo Boat” and working with J. Cole, mental health and going to therapy, and currently being six years sober.

Royce would speak on his relationship with Joe Budden, Joe’s criticism of Eminem’s Revival album, the status of Slaughterhouse, his “Caterpillar” collaboration with Emimen and Logic, fatherhood, and his son quitting school to pursue a career in music. Watch the full 40-minute interview below.
