Rocsi vs 50….when all else fails, there’s always that sexual double standard

We’ve all seen this year-old video of Rosci talking to Chicago radio jock Kendra G….(why did it leak now?)
Well, 50 called up a radio station and responded to Rosci’s comments….
I dont agree with Rosci’s assessment of 50 Cent. But lets say Rosci did actually think that 50 Cent as an artist/celeb/businessman was garbage. She is completely entitled to that opinion. Now do I believe that she’s expressing that opinion in this clip. No. It seems like there’s something personal here. And honestly, she’s entitled to that too. We don’t all like each other, and honestly, I wish folks were more honest about their popular/unpopular/rational/plumcrazy opinions in this industry. All that bubblegum popstar-I love everything-front makes me wanna pull my hair out.
But that being said, Rosci had to know that 50 would eventually see this and have his own unpopular opinion of BET’s popular veejay. And predictably, 50’s response involves snarky allusions to Rosci’s sexual past. He’s good at that…
But what does her past have to do with the price of paint? (Even if allegedly 50’s own DJ is one of the guys who thinks its cool to brag about their conquests.) Well, it doesn’t matter because that tactic always gets the win. And that’s what I have a problem with.
I wonder if 50 would have mentioned these alleged lovers if Rosci had said….”I listened to 50’s album and I hated it. There was no creativity in the lyrics, the beats were boring and yadda yadda yadda….but that’s just my opinion.” Maybe he would have decimated her with a critique of her work, instead of calling her a “pop.” But since Rosci wasn’t really playing fair with her rant, then I guess you can’t expect 50 to play fair either.
So, what I want to know is, whats the connection between Rosci’s dislike and 50’s alleged insight into her past?

I think 50’s POV is that the more you do for Rosci the more she’ll like your music. When he mentioned those 4 people she fucked, I think he meant that he knows of four artists that have fucked her to get better treatment on 106. If that’s true, then I think he has a right to talk about it as a way of invalidating her opinion on the matter…

Rocsi is buggin 4 real, Its just not smart to make such comments about any artist especially if you are on a show where you don’t decide who comes and goes.
Now, from what i’ve heard she tried to get at Fif but Fif was like naah ma you been around enuff people I know and it wouldn’t be a good look for me.
Obviously that heart her and the only way to get at Fif is to trash talk his album coz you can’t call him broke. Plus she probably felt that the 1st person to go against Fif and kinda win is Ye.
As a man, I’d just like to put it out there that Rocsi is fine and If there’s some X-rated footage of her, put it out.

this is m take on the whole situation.
she should have never said anything about his album at all. she’s on a show, and she can’t show bias.
she IS entitled to her opinion though, but i knew this was gonna get ugly.
she should have said it differently though. like his 3rd album is garbage compared to the other 2. or she should have said that she felt this 3rd album was rushed, and it didn’t live up to the hype.
i want to know who leaked it. why is it just coming on the net NOW and not THEN?

With all the shit 50 got going on you really think he has time to be close enough with a video jockey to know there sexual history? Hell, we just seen a 2 hour long interview where 50 doesn’t even know about Bank’s sexual history lol.
And anyway, 50 said he knows four people she slept with and Rocsi is like 27 years old. A 27 year who got 4 men known that she slept with is not a “pop”.

@rand….i dont think he was saying that artists need to get with her to get better treatment on 106. In all honesty I think that’s giving the hosts of that show way more creative control than is realistic. 106 is what it is, a mass appeal “urban” show for teens. Its not gonna stray from that formula.
Another thing is….as a very good looking woman tv host, I hardly think that she is hard up for dates. If 50 really turned some romantic advances from Rocsi and crushed her dreams of visiting his candy shop, lol, then I think he would have said that. Instead he just insinuated that she’s loose and that he says “its like favoritism on the couch…because of who…i dont have time to sleep with you, hang out with you for you to like me….”
But he never says…she tried to do this with me, I said no and she got hurt so ever since then she’s been trying to get back at me.
I’ll try to ask what’s the real reason why she doesnt like 50. But if its not some unrequited love thing…then 50’s just randoming deflecting with unrelated dirt.

anyway, it’s apparent that there’s some beef btwn the girl and 50…she was dumb for wildin out on him, esp because of what she does for a living…however, i think it’s unfair for a man with such influence to call her a “pop” because i’m sure 50 has been with his fair share of women and his promiscuity will never give him a negative title. she’s attractive and maybe the entertainers that have come on to the show have gone after her…and the hip hop world ain’t that big, so i agree with “what it do” when saying 4 isn’t a lot

The Unit didn’t start this one, We seen them on 106 & Park and everything looked cool.
If she was smart or the people around her had any damn sense they should have come out with an apology and given Rocsi the chance to clear up the statement.
They letting this bubble up coz G-Unit are doing promo right now and every interview they do, they get a chance to take shots at Rocsi.
As for the double standard Miss Info, Men don’t mind being called whores ask Weezy, U dig? Women are uncomfortable being called whores when they do wht they do men ain’t. It’s y’all fault in my opinion.

But on that same note, a female journalist in the entertainment industry has to realize that sleeping around is only going to diminish Her credibility. Yeah, it’s a double standard, but it is what it is. Why mess with industry cats anyway, knowing that Guys talk & it’ll only give Her the reputation as a jumpoff/StarEffer type Chick. If Rocsi had used better judgement, 50 couldn’t even use this tactic.

@bunnz – That’s good footage you got there, but I thought everyone knew she was from New Orleans, she’s mentioned it on the show before. It’s not hard to change your accent, just listen to any random young female NY radio personality and they all sound the same way.
As far as the comment she made, she is entitled to her opinion, BUT, I think it’s in bad judgement on her part to air her personal opinions about an artist on record, especially in this “youtube” age we live in. You know it’s gonna get out eventually & being who she is that’s not too smart. What I’m getting from it is that she was in Chicago and she was just playing it up. She probably would have said 50 was better if she was in NY..lol.
As far as 50’s response, I’m kind of surprised. Fif usually thinks before he speaks. He’s usually more strategic about his movements. So this is leading me to think that she may have struck a nerve and there is more to this story than any of us know. That’s a typical male response when backed into a corner by a female. It’s just like when it’s the other way around a women will say a dude’s gay or sucks in bed…lol.

I just think that with her job title, going on a personel rant about someone’s album you dislike is not cool. Her job is to be objective to all types of music. She was wrong for expressing her opinion. That’s like DJ Khalid not playing G-Unit music because he does not like them. Same difference. She works the entertainment industry, there is always going to be someone she does not like, I am sure he is not the first. But, that does not give her the right to trash someone’s album when it’s people like her that we look to for new music. We all know there are other artists that have had bad albums – why didn’t she speak on that? Because it was personel – so she deserved everything he said and will have to say. She dished it out, so now she gotta take what he retaliates. I’ve never read anything from you calling someones album garbage. I think she’s fake – they were just on the show the other day – oh but i guess she had to be professional then, and smile in his face….

however, to answer your question a lot of people have said they prefer kanye to 50 and he’s done nothing. it’s the disrespectful way she said it that makes it seem personal. a simple ‘ i think kanye is better’ would not have resulted in this response from fif. she made it clear even when he was on the show that she preferred kanye. he brushed that off. the fact that she is a woman is no defense. and perhaps he should have resorted to the stereo typical response.

In fact, after the way 50 be talking reckless about the heads of BET while on 106 I bet you anything they are taking Rocsi’s side over his. 50 better watch himself before BET decides not to play his shit(and since his stuff aint that hot it wouldn’t be that hard not to play it). You hear rappers talk all the time about how they need good relationships with Dj’s but I assume the same should be said for the people playing the videos as well.

You have to admit that what Rosci’s comment about his last album is true, the album was pure trash. I give him two hits out of the whole CD. If you put out trash, be ready to take the criticism. first of all we all have our rights to our opinions….BUT when you hold a position as she, she should have used a little more tac when casting her opinion. she is not a professional, never was and never will be unless she is given some training. professionalism seems not to be of importantance any more. secondly, every body knows how 50 is. his street defense attitude will never leave him. so that is how he reacts. rocsi knows how he is so when she made that comment on air, in front of a camera she knew she was targeted. now sleeping with 4 men does not make you a hoe but if sleeping with them with a motive in mind i feel it makes you one. when 50 goes at you he goes straight for the heart and he says what he wants in one sentence. lol…..heavy hitter….if you put your dumbass in a position where you will be degraded so be it.

Rocsi is wrong she is a supposed TV host and your image, opinions and thoughts effect the brand and by extension your job.
She is a hypocrite because we can all agree she hasn’t liked all the artists and /or videos but referred to them as “hot”.
So she needs to grow up and keep her mouth shut. Wait until Viacom stops paying you to expose musical wackness to the youth 5 days a week and get a blog or something like everyone else.
Oh and Miss Info is right about the diuble standard but sadly in this instance 50 is justified.

Rocsi and 50 beef comes from a 106 and park episode, where 50 came on to rocsi, (it was like a month before the clash of the titans 106). He got all up in her grill, and she was like “bag back, bag back” sonning that nigga. And terrence goof ass was like “word”. The audience laughed, and terrence struggled to hold back laughter. AFTER THAT 50 WAS HELLA MAD. CAUSE ROCSI TRIED TO TURN THE TABLES, AND MAKE SH!T COOL. BUT HE WAS SALTY. HE KEPT STEPPING IN FRONT OF HER IN THE CAMERA WHILE SHE WAS HOSTING. She’s a host of a TV show, YES I agree that CURTIS was a subpar album, I mean I bought it and I expected more. I’m a 50 cent fan as far back as How to rob days. Do I think that KANYES album was better? Yes, I thought he dod a very good job in the execution of the album. Truth be told 50 losing that battled was something I wanted to happen, cuz he has been slackin. So with the loss what did we get?? Return of the body snatchers, and elephant in the sand back to the beginning for G-UNIT, real street music.
50 has known, I mean lets be realistic, the guy called his own album a dud, name any artist that will do that. I mean, ask KANYE, imagine rocsi sayin that about that egomaniac, watch him rant and cry and call her every name. From one diva to the next right? But INFO, props by the way for reppin asians in the industry. He says he knows 4 guys she’s slept with to get to where shes at, therefor her assesment is in quesion. She has a right to state her opinion but in her line of work, she should have been more professional with it and not be bias. I mean, c’mon your on the red carpet somewhere acting a fool! And not to mention, your going to be called fake if you sit there on that couch on 106 & Park and talk to the person and boost them up, when you called him GARBAGE. She was wrong for rolling her eyes and cutting off their answers on 106 tho (LOL). However, 50 should stop being so damn sensitive to everything and stop talking so damn much. I dont think it was right to attack her by talking about her sex life but she should have been aware of what he would do to her career! I guess if you’re a woman in this industry and there is possibly tons of little tales about you like that you wouldn’t get or appreciate that point… But your question is also your answer because at the end of the day, whats the point?
You dont see letterman or Leno venomously kicking people in the back when they think people aint looking. When Lloyd Banks say shit like “the unit aint fall off its all politics” and you wonder why G-Unit videos dont get the type of intro they once got and then you see shit like this its not hard to draw a connection between the two.
Rocsi (or whoever she is) should have known that with the job she has she has to be as objective as possible and who she’s sleeping with is important because it directly effects her job. Can’t be fucking the artist… Now we know why MiMs was hot!

Do to the line of business Rosci is in you don’t call another artist cd garbage. What she said was unprofessional. Yes, she has a right to her opinion however she could have addressed the issue in totally different MANNER and TONE. She kept going on and on about how 50 cent Cd was garbage. She totally disrepected him and she owes him an apology. On the other hand if Rosci was an artist like 50 cent then I wouldn’t have a problem with the comment she made. In addition, 50 is always talking shit about other artists, he deserves a dose of his on medicine. By the way, 50 is a cancer and they are extremely sensitive.

All I no is this, people dissing Fif and shit is bullshit, she came at him, so whats he gonna do, not say shit? The double standard here is if it was anyone else, nobody would have a problem with it but if its Fif, they have a problem. Look, she has a right to her opinon and shit, but she didnt need to diss the kid. I mean Fif is garbage? Yeah ok. None, they probably gonna have Ye perform, they let him open their shows last time after he bitched about MTV letting Britney open their show, and the BET hip hop awards,they love Wayne and Ye, I Get Money was a hotter song than any of Yes shit, but look at the shows with Rocssi, they all over Yes dick, before the showdown when fif said jokeingly that Ye wouldnt show up, terrance jumped up all quick like I bet Ye shows up, just rideing his dick. So they gonna go for Ye, but did she need to diss Fif? She is a host, thats it, no matter what she thinks, she is their to interview artists, fans want to see Fif and others on 106, and after that she was kissing his ass, she shouldnt be talking shit. And now, I doubt Fif will be back on that show, they aint playing his videos. But she started this shit, and fif is airing her out. I mean lets be real, she really aint shit, she a host, she aint even that fine, she is a tart. Now they going in on her. All she had to say is I liked Yes album better, but support both, thats it, she didnt need to say he is trash, thats just hate. So fuck it, she aint shit anyway. I agree with Ms. Info its always a double standard between men and women sexually. If your album sucks 50 then it sucks, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally, u haven’t had a good album since “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” But who’s counting, and how predictable are you to bring up her sexually past its totally irrelevent who she opened her legs to at the end of the day. This is getting kind of old 50, even for you.

im split on my thoughts about this one.on one hand im like,she has a right to speak her opinion.50 pops off about people all the time(most for no reason).then,on the other hand im like,you know that 50 goes hard with any insult or comment made about him so you must be asking for it.also,i look at the way she said it as well.she didnt say”i dont like 50s album”or”i prefer Kanyes album”she said”50 IS GARBAGE!!”multiple times and even dug deeper by saying”buy those 2 albums and if you think 50s album is better i will buy you any 3 cds you want”.at that point i feel she is inviting problems.but then again….why did 50 wait until about a year later to respond?i know,he has an album on the way.overall,50 has emotions like a angry,scorned female and i think going at a female make u look only one way…….like an ass

“Double standard”? Don’t even try it. That’s not a double standard. I know what you’re talking about but that’s not it. Sex for favors is viewed as wrong either way. In fact, chicks get off easy compared to what happenes to men. If it was AJ’s replacement (what’s his name again? lol) asking for head from female entertainers in exchange for an apperance on the show or for a favorable review, he probably would’ve lost his job AND been sued.
