Robin Thicke isn’t going down without a battle. Revealed last week, the R&B singer hit the stage at this year’s Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night with a purpose. Following their breakup earlier this year, in an attempt to win his wife back, Thicke debuted the tender song dedicated to Paula Patton titled “Get Her Back.”

Moments before hitting the stage, the 37-year-old singer won the award for “Top R&B Song.” “Most importantly I’d like to thank my wife for all the love and support, and for putting up with me all these years,” said Thicke, accepting the victory for his hit song “Blurred Lines.”
