Wednesday night was a first for two international artists in NYC. While Canadian singer The Weeknd made his Big Apple debut in Brooklyn, U.K.’s pop sensation Rita Ora took over S.O.B.’s in Manhattan. The Roc Nation star showed no sign of nervousness as she took the stage performing cuts like “Roc the Life,” her #1 hit in the U.K. “Hot Right Now,” and “R.I.P.” The stylish blonde singer surprised the crowd that included Sylvia Rhone (Epic Records), Wale and Melanie Fiona, with a cover of Jill Scott’s “He Loves Me” before changing into a Coogi sweater, a trademark of the late Notorious B.I.G. ending off with her Biggie-inspired single, “How We Do (Party).”
