With a #1 hit in the U.K. and co-signed by the biggest name in rap, some might feel that singer Rita Ora is still unknown to many. The 21-year-old Roc Nation signee speaks on her come up to this point for VEVO Lift U.K. The Albanian, raised in London, England reminisces on singing at the early age of 10, working in retail, describes what music means to her, and her first big break signing to Jay-Z’s label.
Rita’s video for her Tinie Tempah-featured single “R.I.P.” is set to drop soon.

question for anyone:
what is required for one to obtain a #1 hit, is it popularity, the amount of request for it, a certain “backer”, what? ’cause it sure ain’t quality. i’m serious.

FOR THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW HOW MOST OF THE INDUSTRY WORKS THEY WILL FIND THIS ARTICLE VERY INTRESTING.. LIKE CATS DID ‘NT KNOW THAT RIHANNA DID’NT WRITE HER OWN MUSIC THE MUSIC INDUSTRY’S BUSINESS MODEL IS VERY BAD I SEE WHY THEY WON’T BE AROUND IN THE LONG RUN
