Rihanna enjoyed a well-deserved break from her Diamonds World Tour this weekend on the island of Phucket, located off the coast of Thailand, but the mini vacation turned out to be a troublesome one (inadvertently, we might add). In addition to posting a slew of sexy bikini photos on Instagram, RiRi also shared a picture of herself snuggling up to a slow loris, which just so happens to be a protected species.
According to AP, police authorities were alerted to the picture, and arrested the two individuals — a 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy — who were peddling the slow lorises for photo opportunities for tourists. The pair could face charges of possession of protected animals, which carries a penalty of up to four years in jail and a 40,000 baht ($1,300) fine.
The moral of the story, boys and girls: don’t incriminate yourself (or in this case, others) on Instagram. Rihanna soon flew to nearby Singapore, where her Diamonds World Tour continues tonight.
