Rihanna Reveals New Tattoo in Honor of Her Grandmother
Posted by Mr.North under photos , relationships and family[13] Comments
Shortly after performing at the 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremonies in London with Coldplay and Jay-Z, Rihanna took to Twitter to show off some new ink. The tattoo, located just under her breasts, taps into Black History as the Egyptian figure appears to be Isis The Mother of Horus. The image pays tribute to her grandmother, Clara Braithwaite better known as “GranGran” Dolly, who passed away on July 1 after fighting a long battle with cancer. Rihanna tweeted the photo with a message saying “Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1lo.”
Sunday night was the first-time performing with the new ink which was partially hidden under a slim red dress.
Rihanna shares another photo with her late grandmother, along with the tattoo during her performance after the jump….

Pictures/drawings of Isis are a dime a dozen and a friend of mine has had her Isis tattoo for 11 years. It sounds like that person’s death is more coincidental then freaky weird

What’s really funny is all the money and pain she wasted on those wings. 30 years from now they will not be seen……

Was her grandmother a pharaoh? Tattoos look horrible on women, and they’re going to look ridiculous on everyone once they become senior citizens.

If we don’t care what people think of the tattoos now, why would we care when we’re senior citizens? Like being old with tattoos is supposed to be some sort of deterrent

I honored my grandfather by getting his nickname tattooed on my arm. Sometimes i wonder if it would have been a better honor for me to simply be a better person…naw, tat looks cooler.
