Rihanna, Lil’ Wayne, Adele Top 2012 Billboard Awards Finalists

Earlier today, the finalists were announced for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards set to take place next month. Adele lead the way as a finalist in 18 categories, with electro-pop sensation LMFAO follows with 17 award categories. Rihanna is a finalist in 13 categories, while Lil’ Wayne and Lady Gaga are tied with 10 categories. Other notables include Drake, Big Sean, Bad Meets Evil, and Wiz Khalifa. Fans can catch the awards live at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on May 20. Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Carrie Underwood, and The Wanted have been announced as the first group of performers with more names to be added closer to this year’s event.

1. Its a crying shame whenever J. Cole is omitted.
2. Its annoying that they have to include Wayne on record sales alone
3. Bad meets Evil…really? I’m a fan of both artists but i don’t agree.

Aight so first off, thanks for telling me what the Billboard awards are based off of. Secondly, you’ll be happy to know that i did buy TWO copies of my “fav rapper’s” album…that being “Coleworld”. Regardless of that im wondering why hes not nominated for best new artist when : Big Sean, Wiz & Bad Meets Evil ARE? So now do you understand my gripe? And what bothered you enough to reply to me? Its not important who is going to win or won in past these awards. Celebrities should work and perform for audience.. their fans.
