With her platinum-selling ANTI LP out and various fashion endeavors rising, Rihanna continues her promo run appearing on the cover of British Vogue. Her second cover this year with the magazine, RiRi shows off her high-end boot collaboration with designer Manolo Blahnik.
Continue after the jump….
“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes… I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!,” says an excited Rihanna about her stylish boots.
In the cover story, the 28-year-old is seen modelling the denim-themed collection, including a pair of thigh-high crystal-embellished boot. The singer does note, these may not be the type of boots to pull out for a date.
“Depends on what kind of date you are trying to have,” says RiRi. “Guuurrrl! Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.”
The singer also credits her mother for inspiring her attitude when it comes to style. “Oh my goodness, my mother – she is a woman’s woman,” she said. “I was obsessed with everything she did then, everything she wore, her scent, her shoes and her scarves… That was the glamour I wanted to be part of.”
Hitting stores on March 5, Rihanna’s collaboration with Manolo Blahnik will cost $895 to $3,995. The collection of six limited-edition styles will only be available in-store at Blahnik’s New York, London and Hong Kong flagship stores.
“Working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results,” said Blahnik in a press release.
