Chris Brown and Rihanna full interviews… more details surface
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Uncategorized , life beyond rap , relationships and family , videos[49] Comments
Mikey: Sway’s interview with Chris Brown and Diane Sawyer’s interview with Rihanna both aired last night in their entirety. Chris Brown’s interview aired first on MTV and again he remoarsefully apologized for his actions, but also expressed his desire to move on from the sitauation. In all, Chris seemed sincere in owning up to what he did, and realizing the severity of his mistake.
While he wouldn’t give any more details about what really happened that night, when Rihanna’s interview aired later on ABC, the singer let out all the details of why and how the attack happened. Chris Brown reacted to Rihanna’s interview and sent this message to MTV News, “While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us,” he said in the statement. “I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

Hell Yeah!!! Its her life, her story, her right just in pisss poor taste… no one supports him or condones the situation and I think everyone agrees that he should havd just took whatever punishment she was dishing out and walked away and not feel it was his place to teach her a hard lesson about being tough..
But there is still a lot of blind spots witht this situation that makes the entire shit smell fishy!!! Its not cut and dry, black and white this doesnt seem like what it appears to be because there is something not all the way right here…
God bless them both!!

I have always said that I dont want a daughter because maybe if I spank her too hard for lying or being bad as a kid it will automatically predispose her defining the line of wrong by what receives that type of reaction… And its not ok to hit girls!!

And that’s the problem…not the fact that he beat her to a bloody fuckin pulp and would have continued to do so had he gotten to where ever they were going? It would have made people understand why he put his hands on her in the first place but it WOULD NOT have made it right.

How come all the negative comments towards Rihanna come from urban urban/hiphop/black entertainment sites? What is wrong with this community?!?! We continously defend and make excuses for the men in our community but have no real support for the women?!! Stop lieing, don’t even try to make excuses up for Chris Brown. I’m sick of hearing, “he shouldn’t have hit her BUT BUT BUT she shouldn’t have done this or this or this…” Stop making excuses for him, he beat her, he physically abused her, there is no “but” for that.
What the hell is wrong with the black community, and yes, i’m speaking to my community. So many self hating individuals, making excuses time and time again for the violence against women.

The real question is what is wrong with you? There is a “but” for him physically beating her. That “but” is the fact that SHE HIT AND KICKED HIM FIRST while he was driving. Nothing that Rihanna did to him excuses his actions. No matter what he is completely wrong and nothing will change that. However, Rihannas guilt or innocence in this situation is what needs to be changed. Rihanna is getting put out their as some innocent girl that did NOTHING WRONG and that is totally not the case. She hit him first. Court documents show it(go to TMZ.com). You sitting there and talking about making excuses for men and not supporting women in this particular situation is bullshit because Rihanna should not be supported here. She beat on him and now is lying about it. She deserves whatever negative comments Chris is getting. And again, I am not excusing CB’s actions at all. All I am saying is that Rihanna is to blame to. Stop making her out to be the victim when she was just as guilty as Chris.
Your last sentence says “So many self hating individuals, making excuses time and time again for the violence against women.”….Well, isn’t you defending Rihanna making excuses for violence against men? Well actually your not even making excuses for it. Your doing worst. You are ignoring it because you don’t feel its a problem that a women hits a man first with the mindset of “he can’t hit me back”….That my friend is sexist.
Our community should support the female victims that did nothing wrong. Not the female “victims” that are just as guilty as the perpetrator.

missinfo, I have a question. Why do you and other media outlets ignore Rihannas role in this situation? Everybody, including yourself, is making her out to be nothing but a victim when she is just as guilty as she is. SHE HIT HIM FIRST. Why are you people not reporting on it?

I agree…There is NO BUT for him hitting a woman. I have always been sympathetic to rihanna being abused.
However…this interview made it tough for me to continue to see her as a victim when her actions thus far have clearly been dishonest and opportunistic.
I wish BOTH of them the best.It amazes me that its “Self hating” cause YOU think someone is making excuses.
He said hes sorry.I cant ask for anything else from the man. Its really none of our business the exact details of what went on in that car, but she decided to give them (some of them)and now…there being critiqued.
I disagree with the way this entire situation has been handled, from the parties involved, to the media and system.
I can have that opinion on it without being self hating, or against my community.I think OUR community is just LESS willing to CRUCIFY a black man; especially when we see the rest of the world is eager to. We are a very defensive, protective people. (e.g oj simpson who i always thought was guilty as sin.)Maybe thats why the “other” sites are responding the way they are?
Maybe I am crazy…I dont know what its likes to be beat by a man. I have never been hit by one. My father never spanked me, my brother never hit me, only protected me. I have had boyfriends and we had disgreements, but they never went that far.
I dont think anyone should put they hands on anyone.Thats the way I was raised by my brother and my father. Thats why I dont hit people; unless im prepared to fight them. (not saying thats what happend, but thats how i feel about confrontation PERIOD)
Am I ignorant? Maybe so.. But I have lived a great life. I never saw violence in my own home. My father never hit my mother. I never had to hit my brother in the head with a glass bottle. I have argued with my boyfriends intensely, but it never leads to shoving, or slapping.I dont attrack aggressive people and aggressive situations. (unless im on missinfotv blog.lol) I know to back down and be and be the bigger person.Intense arguments will ALWAYS lead to fights/physical violence when there are TWO people who refuse to back down.
I think we all know (even chris) that its never right to hit a women. That lesson is old as dirt! It cant be said anymore. The biggest lesson to be learned is CONTROL! And to think before you do things, or let anything go to far. Cause all it takes is ONE MOMENT to make a bad decision and your whole life can change overnight,or be ruined.Thats what I think people need to be getting, but they arent cause they too busy trying to point out who the victim is.
THEY BOTH ARE VICTIMS! BAD DECISIONS, POOR JUDGES OF CHARACTER, LACK OF SELF CONTROL.
They BOTH made mistakes in that car that night, and in that relationship (like we all do)if they are sincerly sorry, being honest and trying to rehabilitate themselves they deserve to have their careers and prosperity. But if not, they wont have that.
*good day*

People have a right to support their own, hell people have a right to support whomever they choose. Why make this about the black community? It happens in all communities, shit Robert Downey Jr. smoked his knee caps off and was nominated for an oscar. It doesn’t even seem like a callous situation or in other words, Ike and Tina. Seems like a dumb kid made dumb mistakes, if that can’t be forgiven, after an honest effort to grow on the kid’s part, then nothing can.
People love redemption stories, not just black people. I have not seen a single “That bitch deserved it” type of comment from someone worth reading. Why? because it’s not about taking sides, its about accepting people making mistakes and hoping they overcome the faults that cause them.

Oh ok, you consider TMZ news?? Wow. Not even worth responding too.
You’re defending Chris Brown because you like him. I hope Chris Brown, for his fans sake continues to pretend to be sorry for the “situation”. He can’t even say it, he beat her, abused her. Instead he calls it a “situation” to minimize the effect of his abuse. Hillarious and you believe him.
She hit him first?? Really. You got that from TMZ, that’s a valid source. She hit him so hard he had to strike back in self defense? He had to strike back to protect himself from her? He sure hit her back alright, the picture/proof shows how hard he fought back, he nearly killed her.
While you’re quick to defend the black men in our community, how about thinking about the women in the community too.
Just more excuses for Chris Brown. He was NOT remourseful during his mtv interview. He was sorry because he got caught beating her that night and he’s sorry that he’s going to have to work extra hard to get his sponsors back. But by the look of these sites, he’s still got lots of support from posters like yourselves.
If he was really sorry, he’d own up to the “situation”. He wouldn’t call it that, he’d say, I hit this women out or rage/anger/my past, i’m sorry for the emotional and physcial abuse i’ve forced onto Rihanna. That’s how adults handle a big problem. You don’t divert from it and try to minimize the incident by calling it a “situation” like it was some random issue that didn’t need a lot of tending to.

TMZ got a hold of court documents. Just like they always do. TMZ is accurate most of the time.
Also, are you some type of feminist because you seem to believe its okay for her to hit him but not for him to hit her instead of simply saying THEY ARE BOTH WRONG for hitting each other.
After she hit him he should have walked away and he mos def shouldn’t have whooped her ass. He is and will always be completely wrong for that. However, she hit and kicked him first while he was driving all over a text. She is and will always be wrong for that. They are both at fault. Why is it so hard for you to understand?
Nobody is defending chris brown. Saying they are both at fault is not defending him.

Peony, who is not thinking about the black women in our community?
When women(of all nationalities/race/religion) say they want to be treated equal, they also forgot that physical, mental and verbal abuse is no longer a one-sided issue(offense).
Women have to be 100% responsible for their actions towards men. Men have the right to press charges on a woman who physically abused him. NOBODY has the right to put they hands on another person involuntarily, NOBODY!
Now lets get one thing straight, I watched the 20/20 special and Rhianna said it out of her mouth:
“even if I did hit him first, that doesn’t give him the right to hit me”
That came out of her mouth, not TMZ. Hold up let me get this straight, you telling everyone not to take TMZ serious yet you’re reacting off the photo TMZ released…DUMB FUNNY!
I’m sorry but if I’m driving and anyone male/female causes physical harm to me while I’m driving, I can’t say how I would react because now that person is trying to kill me (cause the car to vere off the road/oncoming traffic) or damage my property.
Now one thing I don’t get is, how is Chris Brown supposed to walk away after she hits him? Dude is driving his car, the only thing he could’ve done in this case is pull over and tell her ass to walk home. I’m sorry but I can’t leave an emotional/pissed female in my car alone. No telling what she will do when you get back.
Rhianna should be forced to take anger management classes.

i was a true fan of rihannas, and omg was i shocked to see a vicious side of her. i believe what chris did was wrong but god forgives and we was all getting past it but she contunues to want to destroy and kill his career and for what?. she also lied a lot of the time in this interview i could bare watching that interview again because it was just BITTER and simply horrible. chriss on the other hand was just normz and he sed what he has to say. rihanna is a great actor and she has lost my vote on this one that yy her song is #5 on itunes and chriss is number one. BYE RIHANNA i wish u the best but not until you get help chris is doing his bit how about yourself ?

All in all, Chris is coming off as the better person in the aftermath of this situation. He could sling mud and let out all the nasty stuff that happened between them to sell some albums but he’s apologize profusely and is trying to move on.
Before Rihanna was doing album promo she wouldn’t so much as make a quip about what happened now she’s saying it all under the guise of trying to stand up for young girls. But tops it all off with saying she doesn’t know if she’d get back with him?
Chris seems contrite and honest, Rihanna seems like she’s milking it.

He will always be a woman beater and Rihanna will always be a crazy west indian liar.
its damage to both of their careers. this interview did NOT help her, or him. she looked like a dishonest, opportunist.
This is a fail! just like her single.
I would have had more sympathy for her is she would have told the whole truth.
She has the nerve to talk about him reading of a prompter when shes sitting there LYING through her teeth and is rehearsed all the way down to how shes sitting in the chair to look like sharon stone.lol She has some nerve and anyone who doesnt see through this woman is a clown.
Probably someone who used to get beat themselves making excuses for her situation as if they are all the same and they are NOT!
She lied!
shes rehearsed!
shes violent too!
NO SYMPATHY!
Good Luck To BOTH of them who BOTH were wrong and BOTH need help!

What people dont understand is that Alot of women provoke a guy just because of that exact reason because they are females. thats crazy. BY no mean should a man hit a women shit by no mean should someone beat on someone that is physically inferior. Some girls really do mess with guys until they “snap” then they play the victim: Like she said she didnt want it to be expose what happen to them lol but she exposing it not because her album about to come out as well as his its allllll bullshit and a publicity stunt…They used to be report that she stayed at ll his photo & video shoots to make sure not groupies are not near him

chris did something i dislike the most which is to put hands on a woman however she’s going for the kill. why she waited until now to go out on public and say all those things??

COME ON… HE TRIED TO RUIN HER CAREER BY BEATING HER IN THE FACE!!! HE DESERVES EVERYTHING COMING AT HIM PLUS MORE. THAT WAS A PERSONAL ATTACK TO TRY AN EMBARRASS HER AND ITS ASHAME THAT ALL OF YOU CONTINUE TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM.I DO BELIEVE IN FORGIVENESS BUT THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE THE CHOICE HE MADE NO MATTER WHAT SHE DID TO HIM THAT NIGHT. I HOPE NONE OF YOU HAVE DAUGHTERS BECAUSE YOU WOULD PROBABLY BLAME HER IF HER BOYFRIEND BEAT HER AND ASK HER “WHAT DID YOU DO FIRST?”. SHAME ON YOU!!

Shame on you for being sexist. If I had a daughter and her boyfriend hit her after she hit him first then I would blame her. I would teach my daughter not to hit people unless you are willing to get hit back. There are two problems here. One is abuse in relationships and two is women thinking its okay to hit men because we aren’t suppose to hit women back. These bitches are going crazy and playing the victim and that needs to stop.
If you are a women who hits a man and then you get your ass whooped you are NOT A VICTIM. You, and the dude who fucked you up, are both criminals.

I’m not saying you can resolve violence with violence. And I am not saying he shouldn’t have walked away. What Chris Brown did is wrong. NOTHING I am saying is taking away from Chris Brown being 100% wrong. My whole point is that she is 100% wrong to because they both hit each other. You can’t say he’s wrong and she isn’t. THEY ARE BOTH WRONG.
Rihanna having a vagina isn’t a license to hit people and get away with it.

Just for the record, i am not a chris brown or rihanna fan, I think both there music sucks. I just don’t like how a guy and girl can hit each other but the guy is the only one who gets in trouble. THEY SHOULD BOTH GET IN TROUBLE. Whether its Chris and Rihanna or billy bob and jane doe. Unless she is defending herself, the girl is just as guilty of abuse as the man when they both hit on each other.

Why do you keep accusing people of being chris brown fanatics? we are just not here t crucify some 19 yr old who made a mistake!
what about the facvt that she hit him first and lied about it? what ab0ut the time she slapped him and he shoved her and walked away?
You keep talking about hes wrong WE KNOW THAT! What people like you refuse to admit is that this woman is violent and needs help TOO! Notice i said TOO! Both of them! No one is a chris briown fanatic. no one is saying what he did is okay.we are just asking the public to acknowledge violent women as well!
If we dont then we are sending a message that its okay for a woman to hit a man with no repercussion! We cannot do that.
Do you not undersrtand that chris brown has been punished? that he plead guilty, is a felon and scraping shit off the ground somewhere
what is it you want? everyone is acknowedging his guilt. he did too! what is it that you want? for the world to hate this 19 yr old and never give him another chance?
even though he was dealing with a violent women with an abusive past too?
