After more than 30 years as one of music’s premiere producers, Rick Rubin is finally putting out his own album.

Before you start flinching at the idea of Rubin rapping or singing, though, it’s actually a compilation project called Star Wars Headspace that, sure enough, is inspired by the Star Wars films. That means Flying Lotus, A-Trak, Baauer, Rustie, Shlohmo and other producers have joined Rubin in flipping familiar sounds from the sci-fi franchise, like R2-D2’s robot noises or Chewie’s roar.

That, at the very least, is pretty intriguing. So to give us an idea of what the album sounds like, Zane Lowe premiered three cuts off the album on Beats 1 this afternoon. There’s Flying Lotus’ “R2 Where R U?” and Baauer’s “Cantina Boys,” as well as a joint from Rubin himself called “NR-G7.” FlyLo even chopped it up with Zane over the phone to explain what the album’s all about.

Star Wars Headspace drops February 19. Check out the first three songs and tracklisting below.
