Over the past year, Rick Ross has come to the defense of Lil’ Wayne, voicing his opinion over Weezy F. Baby’s long-standing lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records. MMG’s biggest boss holds nothing back on the song “Idols Become Rivals,” a track off his new album Rather You Than Me. On the track which features an intro by actor/comedian Chris Rock, Yung Renzel vents his frustration with the Cash Money CEO over his treatment of not only Lil’ Wayne, but others like Mannie Fresh, B.G., and DJ Khaled.

You would give us self esteem and motivate our drive, but was in our pockets by the time we count to five.” raps Ross on the record’s third verse. “I pray you find the kindness in your heart for Wayne/ His entire life, he gave you what there was to gain. I watched this whole debacle so I’m part to blame/
Last request, can all producers please get paid?
.”

The song has been the talk over social media as the album is already out in various overseas countries. Lil’ Wayne even took to Twitter to react to Ross coming to his side. “dam big bro that msg hit me in the heart and put the motivation on automatik start, tweeted Weezy. “I needed that. 1 boss 2 another.”
