When I first saw Tweets about Ross franchising his own chain of Wingstops, I thought it was just people playing around. Then I spit ice coffee at my screen when Info sent me the real news story.

“Rick Ross will be a great addition to the wing stop family,” said Jim Flynn, Wingstop’s CEO. “He’s a talented artist and brings a huge fan base to the concept. We look forward to growing the brand with him in Memphis.” (via AllHipHop)

This reminds me of that random Duke Da God x Ross interview where they talk about Kool aid and a bunch of other randomness.

Ross, who name checked Wingstop brand on the song “MC Hammer” from his album Teflon Don, felt an affinity with the brand, which made it easier to make the decision to invest.

Rick Ross’ Wingstop location in Memphis is slated to open this Fall, at 7706 Winchester Road.
