Kendrick Lamar unexpectedly popped up on Atlanta-via-Queens rapper Rich The Kid’s Instagram earlier this year, and it sounded like they were cooking up a heater together. Our suspicions are finally confirmed as Rich drops his long-awaited collaboration with Kendrick called “New Freezer.” Speaking with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Rich says he met Kendrick while recording at Interscope’s studios in L.A., and as soon as he played him the “Freezer” beat, it was a wrap. “Right when he heard it, he was like, ‘Yo! Who else on this song? I gotta get on this one, this shit dumb!'” he says.

Rich The Kid is currently working on a new project featuring Lil Wayne, Playboi Carti, Tory Lanez and more.
