Posted by Miss Info under low point 2009 , not good for hip hop , not good for humanity , sigh.... , videos[31] Comments
DJ Roc Raida passed away today after being hospitalized earlier this month for a spinal injury. He was one of the founding members of the award winning X-Ecutioners turntablist crew, and was featured in the DJ-ing documentary, Scratch (clip above).

We really need to make sure the current and future generations know where this art form and culture come from. Because clearly it’s not promised that our pioneers and trail blazers will be here forever…

very sad. he was an incredible dj/turntable-artist. And even though I only met him a few times, I trust the people who saw he was a very nice person too.

Cheers to Roc, for all the mind blowing skills you brought to the tables. A major loss to anyone who respects the dj cats that take two turntable and a mixer towards Hendrix levels of innovation. R.I.P. brotha.

Really sad. I don’t know wtf happen with 2009, even in France a lot of famous ppl died this year, month after months. In my country (Gabon), our president (who was at the head of the country for more than 40 years) and his wife passed too.

huh? modify how….what modifications would you like to see? As for ads, yes, it happened. There’s no way I could afford to keep paying for the hosting costs by myself forever. Deal with it.
