TI is cool. He’s a nice guy, talented, dapper, smart. He is also very successful and last year, he was chased on a highway by gunmen who ended up shooting and killing his best friend/road manager. So it goes without saying that TI needs security, even armed security.

Obviously, if this is all a massive set up, then TI will be found innocent, and life will go on. I hope that’s the case. So we’re talking in hypotheticals. But Nigel over at RealtalkNY put together a visual on what guns were actually found during TI’s arrest in Atlanta on Saturday. And before you talk about how the guns were for his in-house security: 3 guns were found in his car. And 9 more were found in a locked safe in his bedroom closet. The safe requires TI’s own fingerprint to open. And he wasn’t equipped to defend his family, he was equipped to stage a hostile coup in a third world country.

Throw your thug-tinted stunna shades on and try to make this cool. Its not. Thing is, TI has never used these guns to hurt anyone as far we know. But it’s sad to think about how paranoid you would have to be to think that you needed all that killing power to survive. That’s not life.
