This is the end of my day online. There is absolutely nothing that should follow this. Tomorrow is another day, but for today, what else is there to say after you’ve watched a man being murdered. If you go your whole life only seeing death but never seeing dying, then consider yourself lucky. But in this youtube age….there’s a cell phone video of a 22-year-old black man named Oscar Grant being shot by Oakland police on the BART public train platform while lying face down and handcuffed. I dont really know all the particulars…what instigated the initial round-up. But the jumbled video is self-explanatory (and there’s also a play-by-play at the end).

The only reason why I forced myself to watch was because I know it’s important, as important as it is horrifying. Far more important than my comfort. And there’s things that need to be done by us to spread the word….Jsmooth sent a link to Racewire’s post:
