After being handpicked as an opening act for OutKast’s homecoming concert in Atlanta next month (Kid Cudi and Childish Gambino are the other two), it looks like Raury has earned a fan in, well, the biggest tastemaker of them all: Kanye West. According to Complex, Kanye was so inspired by “God’s Whisper” that he recently flew the kid out to kick it and play each other music. Although the two didn’t get a chance to record together, Raury’s rep claims that they “plan to hit the studio very soon.” Does this mean we’ll be hearing Raury on Ye’s upcoming album?
Raury, whose style occupies the middle ground somewhere between Andre 3000 and Kid Cudi, is set to release his debut EP Indigo Child this Monday (August 25), so you’ve still got chance to jump on the bandwagon before the rest of the world does. Check out the artwork and tracklisting for the project below.
