Because it’s never a bad time to watch a Biggie documentary. Back in 1995, Passengers, a youth-orientated show on Channel 4 in the UK, traveled to Brooklyn to profile the guy “who Michael Jackson called up to rap on his album” (Brits, eh?). Riding the double-platinum success of his debut album, Ready to Die, Christopher Wallace returned to the spot where he used to sling crack rock, went jewelry shopping, stayed strapped in the studio, and performed at the 1995 L.A. Summer Jam, when things between the East and West Coasts were heating up. Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, “Little” Kim and a blunt-puffing Faith Evans all make appearances.
Thanks to GWARIZM for the heads up.
