Rapsody may have missed out on the 2014 XXL Freshman cover, but she lets her music do the talking, not industry accolades. The Jamla MC dropped off a new cut called “Roses” last night, on which she lets off some of those lethal bars of hers over production from Khrysis. Watch out for those thorns now.

Sidebar: Rapsody was also nominated for the 2013 XXL Freshman cover, so I don’t understand why she was up for this year’s, too. Also can we please redefine what a “freshman” is? Rapsody’s one album and six mixtapes deep; she’s practically a senior at this point.
