(how genius is this photo?!)
Another exclusive goodie off Shallah Raekwon’s OBCL2……
A laid-back track…according to Rae, its produced by a new duo out in Cali called Breakfast Club, and featuring a friend who happens to sing on the side, Mika.

man all i got to say is.i rember rza came out in 1998 with the boddy album witch was hot as hell, and before dat was the swarm mix tape in the summer and the capdadonna album witch was also hot ass hell, than meth had t2,then the red and meth black out album then ghost drop his second album witch was also hott as hell.but after 1999 wu fell off.like the beats the rhymes and everything i mean damn.and now ghost running around with “theodore unit” and they wack ass fuc!! whst the hell happend?? how can a group that did so much and had hip hop in a choke hold come to this? i kknow every group has its day but in those cases they just stop makeing music and you never hear from them but in wu tangs case their still makeing music but its wack as fuc. i ant dissing them i want them to make music like they use to cause i think their the best group ever. but they need to stop beefing with each other and smokeing so much weed and bring out the wu that we all know not this bs.yea hip hop is messed up cause these wack pop songs AND hip hop fell off also cause the ones that made it good got wack….now people running around saying jigga is the best..haa what has hip hop come to man.missinfo do you know where i can find a time machine so i can leave 2008??????

Man, I don’t like this. There’s nothing wrong with girlie love songs but I always felt that Raekwon is somewhat out of his element when he flows like this. It’s real calm, laid back and wack as fuck. His delivery just sounds shot. He’s at his best when he bodies a head banging track, i.e. “The Weeping Tiger.”
I find it ironic that Rae has criticized RZA for not having “bust ya head open” production on the Wu album yet he’s on a track that as sweet as matrimony.

Franchise – This sounds like a beat Ro would do – especially with those keyboards. I’m about 97% sure this is Brekfast Club.
I found out about them on MySpace (before I got banned – long story). They spammed me and I actually listened and was very impressed. And apparently they’ve impressed Common, Kanye and Rae. Ro’s remix album (”the Early Morning ReMixtape: Coffee N’ Doughnuts “) is so dope. His remix of Common’s “The Corner” and Floetry’s “Supastar” are my favorite.
INFO – you need to check this out
