Back when I went to Chicago to hear R.Kelly’s Untitled album with others, Kels spoke briefly on Trey Songz’s diss record. Here he reiterates the same thoughts with DJ Skee…
“If you’re gonna step out on that limb, which is very thin, you should make a personal call if this is a personal feeling….now if you’re trying to sell an album, and start a beef then you make it public…but you have to be very careful with that. Because why would I tell Stevie Wonder, even though he doesnt have an album, you need to do this and that….or talk about Stevie Wonder. I would not do that. Because Stevie Wonder has fans too….just as Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson and Donny Hathaway and Sam Cooke paved the way for the Rkellys and Aaron Halls and the Dreams, and everybody else. As we come up, we’re paving the way for the next person….but you cannot talk about someone who has done what they’ve done in this industry, which has changed the industry…and still doing it. You’re trying to throw a rock on the top of the Sears Tower...”

I couldn’t agree more! People love to look the other way as long as the girl wasn’t their sister/cousin/close friend. What can’t that extend to another girl in your community, neighboring community, worldwide?? We’re all connected. The influence of the people around the youth (especially women) will greatly affect them as well. So even if you’re doing your best to protect YOUR little sister, she’s hanging out with some girl whose parents think it’s ok to look the other way, & is thereby influenced to get into something stupid as well. Reading comments like “people get raped, killed, etc everyday” being said with such callousness disturbs me, as though it HAS to be that way. Accepting that as commonplace as long as it doesn’t directly affect YOU. it makes me not have as much empathy when I saw them on the news crying about how their baby got, “raped, murdered, molested.” why should you care now? Happens everyday right????

Trey has a solid future I believe but what Kells said is true… too often ppl get caught into thinkin they are more than they are & not focusin on the art. I for don’t judge ANYONE. I could care less about what Kelly was accused of, then later found innocent for. I could care less about how Songz feels about him. I was just noticing how much the stans care. I care about music that’s it, I listen to both of these artist. Kelly has made so much great music for himself and other artist (i.e. MJ) and I wish he will go back to that. Songz has potential to be someone somewhere in R&B. I was told that ignoring ppl was the greatest insult. Just my opinion.

Talking specifically about RKelly new album untitled, ill give it a 3.5 outta 5. he put 2 old songs on there from 12play 4th quarter and the song “i love my dj” aint all that but my fav’s that i keep rockin is “be my#2, text me, elsewhere, crazy tonight, get u pregnate, bang’n the headboard, superman high and number 1″
it sounds like a album full of fillers but its hot, its worth checking out.

I have always been a fan of R. Kelly and now I’m also a fan of Trey Songz.When Trey made that remark I was kinda feeling him only on the level of him getting Kells to make a good comeback.I was missing his music as well as other fans. But now I have a change of heart because Kells is right. He should of been a man and discuss his issues about the man with the man. I know at some point Trey does and has looked up to R. Kelly. Regardless, of his choices in life he’s still a talented artist. Artist are suppose to express themselves the way they want to RIGHT?
