q-tip kendrick lamar

The Black Panther soundtrack wasn’t the only new Kendrick Lamar we were blessed with yesterday. During last night’s Abstract Radio broadcast on Beats 1, Q-Tip dropped an unreleased collaboration with K. Dot. “New Kendrick featuring Q-Tip coming up… not really new, but whatever. What up Kung Fu! This for you!” Tip said before premiering “Want U 2 Want.” It’s unclear when the song was recorded, but we’re guessing it was around the same time as “Conrad Tokyo,” off Tribe’s last album.

Q-Tip also closed out the show by playing his and Demi Lovato’s unheard cover of Elton John and Kiki Dee’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” Listen to “Want U 2 Want” below and hear the full Abstract Radio episode here.
