Q & A with Fabolous – Loso’s Way Album/Movie Preview
Posted by Mikey Fresh under videos[10] Comments
Mikey: It may be hard to fathom the idea that Fabolous has been in the game almost the same amount of years Maino spent in prison, but next week Loso is scheduled to release his fifth studio album entitled, Loso’s Way, with an accompanying short movie that shares a common title. Last night, Def Jam hosted a private album listening and movie screening for Fab’s new projects and while most of the radio joints that we’ve heard thus far are pretty much what we expected from Fab, (still good tho…) homeboy has some heat getting ready to drop. I mean, most people have pretty much written Fab off as a worthy contender for NY’s throne, but Loso’s Way may be the album that will change the way people talk about the kid from Brevort Projects. Throw it in the blog.

thanks again lol…converting now! …Fab definitely did show & prove wit Loso’s Way…it’s a excellent album.
Loso’s Way should be the album that will change the way people talk about him… it’s not just rapping…there’s story lines, punch lines, wittiness…
July 28th, i’ll be on iTunes!

I heard the album and I was seriously underwhelmed.
My prediction:
Loso’s Way won’t do much for Fabolous’ career other than further solidify his place as NY’s greatest “could’ve been.”

I wanted more out this album, but I didn’t find it. I only had one listen (on the train this morning) so maybe I have to give it another go.

Fabolous is a ladies rapper. Your girl will like him, but that’s about it. I’m sure his next weed plate will have at least 8 R&B singers on it (I haven’t checked the tracklist)

Fab’s my dude…{{{BK ALL DAY}}}….and I understand the “ladies rapper” tag with the radio singles he’s droppped over his career, but those are definitely calculated moves. As a Hip Hop artist you have to make a decision, am I gonna stay true to the streets and only drop street joints ala M.O.P. and keep that stret cred but make minimal bread or use my considerable rap skills and make a few radio joints to appease the female “Record Buying” audience. He chose the latter, but just like LL before him, you could never doubt Loso’s MC skills. Fab will eat up 95% of the rappers out there, straight up. Even the radio joints, although not my cup of tea, are lyrically on point.
P.S. – That’s Brevoort with 2 o’s
BK Stand Up!
Peace
