Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for My Name Is My Name. During a recent radio interview, Pusha T announced that his debut solo album — which was originally scheduled to arrive July 16 — has been pushed back to August. The Clipse MC cited the recent influx of new records, like Yeezus, Born Sinner, The Gifted and Magna Carta Holy Grail, as the reason for the delay. He still believes he has the “best album of the year,” though.
No, no, it’s not gonna drop on the 16th; we’re gonna push it back a month. There’s been a lotta, lotta music coming out… But at the end of the day, man, I still stand my ground. That’s politics and logistics. My album is the best album of the year… I think the streets are going to have a classic hip-hop album. ‘My Name is My Name’ is definitely the hardest album that’s going to come out this year, for sure.
Oh, and contrary to what CyHi The Prynce said last month, Cruel Winter is not happening, according to Push.
