Posted by Mikey Fresh under interview[8] Comments
Prodigy sat down with Cipha and Rosenberg for another exceptionally rap nerdy episode of Juan Epstein. Mobb Deep’s resident mouthpiece dove into all the little stories and fun facts from Mobb Deep’s early days.
Prodigy on Juan Epstein
–Saigon snuffing P at Rosenberg’s B-day party
–Cipha Sounds gets P to tell a story about beating up a soundman in Miami
–Prodigy’s past alcohol abuse affecting his Sickle Cell
– Mobb Deep’s past with 2Pac
–Making Loud over 60 mill
–Teaching Havoc how to make beats and Hav teaching him how to rap
-Prodigy’s first song being on Boyz In The Hood
–Confronting the fake West Coast Havoc & Prodeje
and more

Yeah I can appreciate rosenberg’s true love for hip-hop its admirable; he is tuned in on another level; him and cypha are students of the art lol
I cant believe i sat through an entire hour of prodigy’s stories though lol It cleared up alot of un-answered questions I had though especially about the ballerina rumors and jay-z beef. The only missing ingredient was havoc’s input on certain situations; its great to hear him speak sober minded though;prodigy seems so much more in tact. He is one of the few prison success stories; i don’t wish prison on anyone but certain people’s imprisonment; gives them a new appreciation for freedom and time to reflect about their lives realizing they need to change how they carry themselves; gives them a reality check. They should do interviews like this more often i enjoyed it.

If you’re under 30, you probably don’t realize how great this just was.

I’m 24, this was amazing to me. True, a lot of the references are over my head, but it didn’t keep me from listening in awe.

great interview.
info, i think the term “rap nerd” needs to be buried. there are people who know a lot about this music and if they’re interviewers, that’s too be applauded, not given some weird title. no one calls political pundits “political nerds”. great movie reviewers don’t call themselves “movie nerds”. great sportscasters aren’t called “sports nerds”. let’s have some respect for our own culture.
rosenberg messed the “boyz n the hood” date up terrible (91, not 89).
crazy that p was on that soundtrack. i heard that somewhere before.
