It’s a big day for Hip-hop on the charts. Cardi B made history as her “Bodak Yellow” smash-hit landed No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Post Malone also made a big splash on Monday (Sept. 25), as his new single “Rockstar” debuted No. 2 on the Hot 100 this week. Featuring 21 Savage, the record is set to appear on the Texas native’s upcoming Beerbongs & Bentley sophomore LP.
According to The Verge, “Rockstar” also smashed a major streaming record. The song received over 25 million plays on Apple Music’s platform, breaking the previous record held by DJ Khaled’s star-studded “I’m the One” earlier this year. “Rockstar” also holds the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart with 44.1 million streams. Post Malone has seen recent success on the Hot 100 as his Stoney-single “Congratulations” peaked at No. 8 in the summer.
