ok, I’ve said before…I’m not the most technologically talented. I have some amazing help with this blog, but they’re busy too sometimes….so I ask you, my celeb drama family….
how do I post photos so that they are side by side?
how can I create a “click here to continue” feature on my posts so that the entire post doesnt show up on the homepage? It gets too long and bulky. I notice on most other blogs, you can see the beginning or a summary of a post with a photo and then you can click more to see the rest of the post….Is that possible with wordpress?
im sure there’s more I need to ask, but that’s about it for now : )

Okay, I’m no geek, but I think I can help.
1. To post photos side by side you may need to use the html code “img src”, but the photos have to be a specific pixel width or else they wont fit. For instance, it looks like your posting space (^^^^) is about 450 pixels wide (then comes the sidebar). If your pics together add up to 451 pixels in width they won’t fit next to each other and will automatically wrap underneath one another. So, you have to use the html code and just push them together. Make sense?
2. I’m pretty sure Wordpress has a button that you can press when you’re typing a post that will insert a “more” link into it. It’s next to the image button (that looks like a little tree). It looks like a piece of paper split in half by a dotted line. Otherwise, you would have to do what I do and use a whole other technique to get that done. If you want me to explain it let me know.

Hmm, i cant be 100% sure unless i try it on here myself but when you do the picture code just make sure the two codes are on the same line instead of 1 above the other…. and if that dont work then maybe its the layout you are using, dependin on how big/small the pic is it may only allow one then put the other below…make sure you dont use or (break) between the 2 codes.. that would push one pic down to the next line…If you still have trouble then i might have to come over and give you the hands on….

As far as the drop down feature Im not too sure. If your blog supports html codes (if thats what your using) then you can try that.
And with the pic issue I used Photoshop when I had a blog site. Basically so I can control how big those pics will appear & put them together so your not juggling 2 pics in 1 post. I’d be happy to help with that or any site graphics, Im real good with Photoshop.

Info, If you want create a preview and have your post continue on the next page this is what you do. When you are writing a post, look for a box with a dashed line underneath it right next to the image icon. Click this where you want the post to break or “jump” as some people call it. Hopefully this will help solve your problem.

I suggest picking up a book “blogging for dummy’s”. No pun intended. It is an excellent resource and reference guide that will help you to master this blogging stuff! I hope that helps you. I have not officially made a blog outside of myspace because it is a lot of work. I am sure you will work it out, just keep the information coming and I will keep on reading. Dude mention in an earlier post that you can make some serious cheese monthly like PerezHilton with your contacts. There maybe some truth to that and than again it depends on how much time the blogger put into their blog! Peace!

ok folks! thank you so so much for your kind advice! This weekend….along with my other plans to catch up on work, and take a tennis lesson (not like I’m some jock or anything, I’m just worried that if I keep sitting on my non-existent ass without exercise soon, my arms and legs will just atrophy away to noodles….and by noodles I dont mean al dente), and go to 2 birthday parties, and first buy 2 presents for said birthday parties, and pay off the many parking tickets I’ve been trying to ignore, etc etc….then I also plan to try and figure out some of this blog stuff: )
